Strange and unpredictable, that is. I'm still about half cash waiting to see what happens.

I'm aiming for half cash too. I'm like 30% Cash / 70% Stocks atm.

Hard to let go of some of these holdings, but I think cash will be more valuable soon.

I'm just playing weekly/monthly options on certain tech stocks and it's working well. AMD has been easy. They always tank after earnings, I know from years of getting burnt. I've done probably 10 weeklies on AMD in the last month. I also played Ford options, they go up to $5.50 and drop to $5 non-stop.

Otherwise I have my usual Fuel Cell, US Food, Chewy, and a few other randoms that I keep. Otherwise I'm mostly cash now.

The stock market just had it's best month since 1987. Who saw that coming?

You guys think 1.87 is a good entry point for Fuel Cell Energy?

Either Elon Musk's twitter got hacked or he had a public meltdown/doesn't give a ****. Tweeted TSLA's share price was too high and random other ramblings. It was 830 near close yesterday, dropped to 683 in a matter of minutes.

Stannis - I think if you plan to hold long term you're good to go.

I'm also big on NCR. They make scanners of various kinds for all sorts of applications. With everyone wanting to move to touchless for everything they'll be a good one long term. Trading at $35 before February and haven't even fully recovered.

I thought Musk was just flexing, basically showing what he can get away with.

He's probably still pissed about that $20M SEC fine he got a couple of years ago for tweeting about taking Tesla private and figures in this climate he can give the regulators the finger.

I would watch this before you invest in airlines. Plus The Buffet is a Bff of Gates. He can get the low down on the likely ramifications of the Rona.. Basically, Airlines don't have the means to fund and this may take a while before things get "back to normal". Odds are likely a lot will go bankrupt. Too much supply, not enough demand. The government may not want to keep shelling out billions of dollars to keep all of them a float.

Even if they get bailed out, they are likely going to have a significant reduction in passengers for a year or two, or until this virus is less scary.

Yeah, I have no interest in investing now, but I will at some point, I just have been shocked at what the share price has been doing. Q2 earnings were, I think 2B loss for either United or Delta. And the prices started going up in a way that made no sense to me. So I have put them all on a watchlist and just monitoring what they are doing.

My guess is that we will see United, Delta and Southwest all trading in the single digits before this over. At that point, I think I will go in as a long term play. I just don't have it in me to short stocks, so I'll just wait it out for a while.

Wasn't it already known that he dumped the airlines in early April? This past weekend was just a conference but I thought this was already news. I'm holding on and averaging down on Delta for the long run. If and when there's a vaccine all these will fly, no pun intended.

Edit - looks like there was an early april dump unrelated to this past news. Either way I'm not leaving especially when he bought Delta in the 40s end of february. Even the goat's lose from time to time but I don't buy the doom and gloom on the airlines.

Yeah, I had posted this April 6th.

BucksFanSD wrote:Warren Buffet sold Delta and Southwest shares last week, this coming about two weeks after stating he would not sell his airlines shares.

This news was released after Friday's close, and the after hours trading on Friday showed that airline stocks may open tomorrow with a drop based on Buffet's sell off.

Also, I thought this analyst's take below was interesting.

Weird, I clicked on two separate articles that both cited this weeks drop to BH pulling out of airlines. Nowhere did they reference the when, very strange, maybe just clickbait to get a click I guess.

I believe you're right. It appears he sold only a small part of his stake in airline stocks in early April and then more recently dumped the rest causing this week's drop.

Ok, that at least would explain it. I'm not sure how much BH had invested, but if that pushes other institutional buying out, yikes. But let's see what happens.

Any crypto people here? Nice run now.

I've been in BTC for a while (2012 ish, I think, and $600/BTC)
I then made a ton in 2017/2018... had I sold. Rode TRX from about .006 to when it nearly hit .30 cents along with several others.. and of course held to long. Still have BTC and really looking at some alts right now. XTZ, LINK, DGB among others.

Stocks, I'm mainly staying safe since the market is so uncertain (which I know is the time to pounce.. just conservative these days)

Also, it's funny I made some of my best investment in Tesla and Solar from reading on here years ago.

My adventure with crypto didn't end well. I don't blame crypto but just wasn't my thing.

Set up one account in order to put money in, give all your personal information and picture of passport to foreign country for set up
Set up another account in order to transfer money in to, in order to buy currency
Proceed to have XRP drop from 2.00 to .20 (not sure the actual but I think it was close to that)
Stop checking account daily and check monthly...still sucky price? If answer is Yes, wait 6 months and check again. If answer is No, sell and take the money back to something you still don't understand, but you understand it better than crypto.

It is funny, no matter how much you research or think you know, losing your investment is BY FAR the best teacher. It's amazing how much I have learned on my losses.

Sounds like you got in at the ATH for XRP. I used own some as well.
Cyrpto is super risky and almost makes no sense in that doesn't really following trading patterns to well.
Yeah my account went from like 2k to 20k back down to 2k in a matter of months.
Oh well.

Had a fairly small position in Super League Gaming (SLGG) at 2.87 avg and it paid off today. Will probably hold on for a bit as earnings are coming up and this is just a gamble play for fun but it's nice to finally win on one of these picks.

ACB is up 60% today. I'm back to even :)
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”
