We did not play well. That 10-0 run in the third was WILD. That was good serving, but we looked like a JV high school team trying to return. Not sure what went wrong - think we just got out of sorts and couldn't get back mentally with how well they played overall.
That was how I saw it too. Texas was serving and hitting well but UW looked half a step late on everything. Like they screwed up a couple times and then got super tight.

Ya’ll hyped them up so much to go out like that? I swear they only lose when I watch live, so my bad.

Bad end to a great year. Corners of Buckyville super-toxic. Like somebody posted it was a "good, not great year." My brother in Christ, they won their first 18 games, went undefeated at home and got to the Final Four.

Looking forward to Cali Charlie coming in as the next great Wisconsin setter.

Still a volleyball school, tho.

Certainly sounds like the prize of the class. Excited for them overall though because it looks like we're bringing in what we sorely lacked this year. Hoping one or two could be early contributors; I'd love to put Orzol back at OH.

I anticipate much more consistent setting and passing.

Hard to see Charlie as anything other than a can't miss prospect. Parents were both VB All-Americans and coaches and they run a volley gym. Can't imagine a better athletic and environment profile to predict success.

Fun year but just a wet fart to close out the campaign.

We are in the same boat and decided when our dogs pass we are taking a break for a number of years. Before kids, we had them at the dog park twice a week, went for lots of walks, took them to dog friendly bars.

Post kids, and to be fair they are much older dogs now, they just don’t get the attention they deserve. What’s weird is that the kids will pay attention to them but the dogs only want the adults attention.

My parents never went back to having dogs after they passed, too much work and compromised their ability to go camping (which is just their pitstop for hitting biking trails).

I'm fairly happy I became a cat person after hating them for the first 23ish years of my life. My gf took in a strayish cat after she was stuck under her house in a blizzard (fairly certain it's the neighbors cat but f em for their neglect so we're taking it when we move in together). That thing is such a sassy unpredictable moody bitch, I love it. It's like a furry me, except cute.

You're stealing what might be your neighbor's cat? How do you know it didn't accidentally get out of the house & simply sought shelter under your GF's house? Sounds pretty sketchy to me.

Controversial, yes. But she's fairly certain she's just a "barn cat" (even though there's no barn) to mitigate mice. Definitely not taking fluffy. They have a good amount of cats roaming in the area so we can't say 100% it's from the neighbors but she knows they have a bunch that they just leave outside.

At this point the cat is choosing us as well  It took a lot courting with food on the deck. And then In June I ran out in a hailstorm to grab her and she pretty much is there 24/7 now. She just wants some love.

Don't know who will be back or what transfers come in. But I'd prefer they have or bring in enough OHs and front row people that you don't need to play 6'0 Orzol at hitter. She's good and all but you're not beating these juggernauts like Neb/Tex with a 6'0 hitter when all their fronts row people are 6'3 and up. Hopefully they get some good transfers and she can kind of be in a jack off all trades type role and obviously a great fill in anywhere someone else underperforms or gets hurt.

Any MIlwaukeeans ever heard about the murder of the guy that opened Von Trier? Dude was taken out by bow and arrow behind his house on Murray:

https://www.milwaukeemag.com/murder-of-a-tyrant-karl-lotharius/

Milwaukee in the 80's was a SCENE, man. Mob hits on the corner of Van Buren and Brady, car bombs in the basement garage at Juneau Village...
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

Electricians or enthusiasts: I posted treadmill issues probably like a year ago. I have an unfinished basement and in the corner I've utilized a treadmill or walking pad while I work. At least that's the goal. I had a legitimate treadmill have overheating issues several times, even with new motors. They eventually refunded me. I then bought a cheap walking pad - it just conked out after I pushed its limits after a few months.

I know that directly plugging into the wall is what treadmill manufacturers suggest. I technically didn't do that and ran it on an appliance extension cord. However, I tried to move the **** by the wall and had similar issues.

I want to try another treadmill/walking pad or may switch to a bike. But I just realized that perhaps my problem is that the circuit I'm hooked up to is the one that runs through the water softener/heater/some of the HVAC stuff that needs power, etc...is this my problem? I am seeing these sorts of devices should have a dedicated circuit.

Is this my issue? I just don't want to burn out yet another device. My only option since this is the spot in the house for this would I guess (?) be to run another dedicated circuit out?

I work for a developer in construction and our building standard is to have all major appliances and HVAC equipment on dedicated circuits. I'll say, that's a hefty load to have on (1) circuit. Do you find it trips often? You'll need to ensure you have enough room on your panel to add circuits, then you will need to run all new wires to your receptacles, which can also get incredibly pricey. Good luck!

I should be more clear. This is a new house and I think it's fine. I don't think I articulated it well. Once I looked at the panel - the furnace is on its own circuit, AC is on its own circuit. Sump pump is on its own. This is fine.

I think the one in question is labeled "basement mech" and has the softener (doesn't drain much), water heater (it's gas but I think that draws a pretty large amount when running), and maybe the humidifier/air system seems like it may be attached. It's hard to tell but I could test it out. I also believe this one runs to a few outlets where I have a basement TV/my laptop is plugged in for my basement office, and the treadmill also was and was causing issues.

Someday (but not yet) we'll have the basement finished, so yeah, having an electrician come out and give me one more dedicated circuit would suck if it's expensive they're going to be back in 3 years when we finish the basement.

Unfinished basement? Now is the time to run a new circuit. Quite easy for a DIYer. At a minimum, you can run the wiring, put in a new box, add the receptacle (20A please), & hire an electrician to make the connections in the breaker box. Once the wire is there at the panel, it's probably a 15 minute job max. You can do it yourself if you have a main breaker in the panel & can turn it off. Then the only thing "hot" in the panel are the 2 main lugs at the top where the feed comes in. But if you're hesitant, your electrician would probably only charge his minimum fee for coming out (assuming you provide the materials). Perfect time to learn a new skill! Good luck.
