Where do you think Luzma KPJ Prince Lopez are in OKC BOS CLE rotations? Because those are the championship contenders.

Is Prince getting a single playoff minute on these teams? Kuzma is 8th man at best same with KPJ. And yet these guys are playing 30+mpg for us...

Our talent is so pitiful that we need 65-80 points from Giannis and Dame to even have a chance to win a single playoff game.

Yeah thats really the way to look at it. Fully healthy Giannis and Dame makes up for a lot but not quite enough to overcome all that. I dont think Cle is on that level btw though i could be wrong. Boston hitting on Prichard is curtains for the East. Its unbelievable.

So you have two juggernauts, Bos and Okc. Is there anything we can actually do to get close? Short of a Luka gift, no. We can get lucky and Boston has a bunch of injuries, but thats really it.

So if im Horat im asking Giannis what he wants to do this summer. Id tell him we will do our best to give us a puncher's chance, but if he wants to go somewhere and finish his career with 5-7 cracks at real title chances, I would send him where he wants to go.

Agree with Prince and Kuzma thoughts but KPJ isn’t an 8th man on a contender, assuming he stays behaved he’s definitely in the top 5 or 6.

The difference in coaching between these two is beyond comprehension. I bet anyone that if you just switched the coaches for this series the pacers ain’t winning a game. Griffin sucked as a coach but had them scoring 120 pts a game Doc comes in and the offense craters. Any good coach would love to have Giannis and Dame to coach this team has more talent than it sure looks with Doc at the helm.

It's debatable if we have enough talent to win it all. I would debate that yes we do, but wouldn't be mad at anyone who suggests otherwise.

What is not debatable is we have enough talent to beat the Pacers in a seven game series and should not be down 0-2. A lot of that is on the coaching.

I would like to point out that Shai and Tatum have been absolute dog water to start the playoffs, and that’s where we have a decided advantage with Giannis.

We don’t need to have the same type of high end depth that those teams have, because we have a better top option, and that’s the hardest thing to find.

We need to find more talent, and I think that will start with a Dame trade that we need to nail, but this isn’t an impossible pursuit, either.

Also, even without a Dame trade: if you think the roster is bad, replacing bad players is the easiest thing for a good player personnel team to do. Getting a Giannis is the hardest thing for any franchise to do. Get that hire right and everything else gets quickly sorted.

Probably also important to point out that Boston and OKC are playing worse teams than us by nature of being better regular season teams and getting a higher seed. While I know it's the new meta to say "regular season doesn't matter", I'm obliged to disagree and say yes, the regular season still matters. A better coach/infrastructure wins us more games and we're playing the Pistons right now instead.

The Phoenix suns had a starting 5 who could all impact the game to a degree on both sides. They had CP with a Time Machine, book scoring 40, the second coming of David Robison, and two long two-way wings who could shoot and step into pull-ups.

They were the modern style of building a team. We were consistently envious of how they treated every possession like a playoff team constantly finding mismatches to exploit. We couldn’t compete with their high level depth, and yet, they ran into Giannis and he dismantled them.

They followed that season up by winning 64 games, had far and away the best record in the league, and then they ran into Luka and he dismantled them.

The thunder had the best record in the west last year. They had the deepest team, and an mvp candidate. They then ran into Luka, and he dismantled them.

The team’s that won those contests weren’t perfectly built rosters, and in some cases, weren’t even considered top-flight contenders, and yet they found a way to win because they had the best player in the series.

Apparently Phoenix is interested in hiring Horst for their front office. Reported by a Phoenix reporter and then Stein confirmed.

Going to need 5 second rounders to make this happen.

Alright, now we’re holding out hope that we hire a very good coach, and hoping that guy brings in sensible player additions just like Bud did the last time we had more than mins to offer.
