Great win for these kids. Have been close, but just haven't gotten over the hump. Hopefully it breaks Bronson out a bit too.

Next year may be good.

Anyway, good win for these guys. Love the competitiveness that they've shown recently.

Looked like it would counted have when I saw the replay, but I didn't see it very slowed down.

Great win, regardless.

Edit: Nope, you're right. Still had it for about .1 with the red light on.

Any win against Izzo is a good win.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

They need to clean up the next 5 or 6 winnable games or it is probably NIT/CBIT.

This was a great, and very needed, win. Lifted my spirits a bit after last night - my body could barely handle it all as is. My nerves have been on edge. But this was big. There was so much energy in the building after the win. Hardly anybody left their seats right away - most stayed for Varisty and to cheer the team as they left the court. And that doesn't happen very often.

I think they will, but this is a huge win for our resume if were a bubble team.

Getting Pritzl and Van Vliet back next year will give this team crazy depth.
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

They have @PSU, Indiana, @Illinois, Nebraska, Ohio State.

I think they may have to win all 5. Non-con, they have bad losses and not many great wins. They probably have to go 10-8 in conference to have a shot. After that game, they go @MSU, @Maryland, Illinois, @Iowa, Michigan, @Minnesota, @Purdue.

They need to probably get to 7-4 because I have a hard time seeing more than 3 wins in that final stretch.

They drew probably the toughest BIG schedule imaginable given the new league size.

I did watch it slowed down....definitely wouldn't have counted. The ball was clearly still in his hands when the red lights came on.

What is the prospectus on Van Vliet? I mean...how good is he?

Yeah that's what I saw, too. I paused it when the red lights came on and the ball was still in his hands.

I'll be pretty shocked if they make the tournament.

Their talent level is to marginal and mixed with youth, it makes almost any game a potential loss, even when facing mediocre to below average teams, especially on the road.

Bo being so dominant at home and particularly vs teams the Badgers were a sizable favorite was huge in why he never missed the big dance. There just rarely were games under Bo where fans could say, i can't believe Wisconsin lost to that team.

Sure...that's why I was expressing pessimism above. They need to win 5 - or at least 4 of these next 5. Even that is a tall task for them given that they'll be only slightly favored in probably 3 or 4 of the 5.

All of that said, they have a snowflake's chance in hell as it seems that Hayes has gone back to his old shot form and Koenig has been told to go more north and south. They've dug themselves such a big hole that the margin for error is probably too thin, though.

I too would be shocked if they make the tournament. I don't think they can afford to lose any games that they shouldn't, and they have to win some games which they probably shouldn't. Bad combo for this team.

With that said, I'm not completely counting them out. And Sunday's win was a great one.

very low chance imo. If they had the UWM, and Western Ill (or whichever ILL team beat us) as wins it would've really helped to fluff the W total. Instead they're very bad losses on the resume. I think those two games almost assure they don't make it.

Wisconsin would have to almost run the table to get into the NCAA tourney. Not going to happen. The NIT is a possibility, but they'd have to win all their home games and split on the road. Again, a very tough proposition.

We should know the answer in about 5 games. 11-7 in conference is a lock for the tournament, 10-8 maybe, 9-9 they'd need to do some major damage in Indy to maybe get in the first 4.

They're 2-4 and will be favored or barely underdogs over the next 5 and they may have fixed some things with Hayes/Koenig. If they get to 7-4 or 6-5, we can pray to squeeze out 2-4 games out of the final gauntlet of a schedule.

Think it would take 11-7 in conference regardless given their performance in non-conference.

This run by Penn State has been pretty absurd.
