Redemption is always possible, he needs to come back and shoot 40% from 3 for us.

Nothing about that article makes me not want him. It seems he is accepting full responsibility and is working very hard. He understands he played terribly in Milwaukee and feels guilty about his drop in performance while he was here which I like to see. The only thing concerning about the article is that nobody from the Bucks contacted him for 40 days after he was suspended. If he had developed the close relationships with Giannis and Middleton as he indicates, you would think he would at least get a call or a text from somebody.

How sad is your team name when someone is just like, "What is the name of a popular movie right now? Let's just go with that."

I don't know. The Milwaukee Chitty Chitty Bang Bangs has a nice ring to it.

That could be the situation. He may well have burned several bridges, both in the locker room and front office. We don't really know, though.

I'd give him a shot for a minimum contract, with some performance benefits and behavioral disclaimers. He's got a hard path to follow, and a lot rides on his behaviors. True acceptance that he was the source of his own problems is a big start.

if he keeps this up over the next year and the nba reinstates him he will get plenty of interest imo. nba teams love taking fliers on youngish reclamation projects at minimum deals.

Yeah, other than his drug use, I did like what he in theory brought to the team, as the 6th man combo guard that should be a good three point shooter, run some pnr and give effort on defense.

OJ Mayo is a loser.

He was popped for drugs multiple times before his ban and didn't do anything about it then. I have zero faith in him turning around. He's proven unable too many times in the past.

Healthy and focused Mayo at a low salary would be a great fit, I'm all for it.

Unless he burned some SERIOUS bridges, signing Mayo to a low salary deal seems like the most obvious move ever. Little to no risk, really good reward. Mayo is someone who can make tough shots and create something out of nothing, we need that type of player on this team honestly. I actually really liked him on the Bucks when his head was on straight

He will be 31 a week into the season he is eligible to return for (next year). Losing 2 years is no joke and he clearly took it hard, gaining 30+ pounds.

I hope he gets a shot somewhere. But the fact that he was a mediocre player that has tested positive for PEDs in the past and will be on the backside of his athletic prime I don't know that he will be able to come back.

OJ already kinda really sucked by the time he was forced out.

Would be surprised if BKN 18 or Tatum is on the table. Could see Brown and/or LAL/SAC picks being added though.

Cleveland are going to lose Lebron and have to pay a max contract to a 29 year old 5'9 dude.
