Re: Bucks News, Trade Ideas, Transactions
If Cleveland goes all in for Simmons, I could see Philly thinking Okoro and Thybulle are redundant. I would dangle DDV to Philly as alternative value, maybe get a pick or two out of it.
Okoro can't shoot right now, but I don't think he's a lost cause in that dept. He has already done an admirable job defending Harden/Durant in his young career. He and Jrue together would be insanity defensively. Just need that corner 3 and he's a super-duper PJ.

That's true. The return has to be worth more than the buyout savings, which may be tricky, so yeah, good point.

Would be so funny to see Cleveland bring in Simmons have their success go to hell.

Wouldn't you be more interested in Thybulle?

He makes 14M so it will be tough for a lot of teams to match that with expiring contracts.
Biggest fear is that Miami turns it's recently signed, $90 million turd into Thad Young. He slots in nicely at PF to let PJ play off the bench, moving Herro to the starting lineup for a far more potent Lowry-Herro-Butler-Young-Bam starters with PJ and their bevy of random 3 point bombers to spell the other guys. Hopefully, San Antonio isn't that stupid, though.

Yeah, probably. So would Philly though, given the familiarity. DDV for Thybulle straight up or DDV for Okoro/2nds would be my preference order.

Got some isolation stats for me? KD versus Okoro, Thybulle, Watanabe, Reddish?

Re: Bucks News, Trade Ideas, Transactions
Maybe I'm missing something (sincerely). Why would we trade DDV for Okoro? The point of trading DDV would be to get some size. We're pretty deep at the Okoro position.

Get Donte back and just slide Pat up, hope Wes continues to play well and let Boogie rock until Brook is back. No need to overcomplicate it IMO. Trading Donte for Bamba or something just seems like robbing Peter to pay Paul to me. Obviously you can keep your eyes open for home runs but that ain't it to me.

They won't either way. No room for slow centers versus Brooklyn or Golden State.
Wha? Bamba from a pure athleticism and measurements is among if not the freakiest athlete the league has ever seen.
According to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune, Bamba finished the sprint in 3.04 seconds.
Per Jordan Schultz of Yahoo Sports, that reported time was faster than the one several current NBA All-Star guards posted, including Russell Westbrook (3.08), Dwyane Wade (3.08), James Harden (3.13), John Wall (3.14), Kemba Walker (3.16) and Victor Oladipo (3.25).
University of Texas center Mohamed Bamba recorded the longest wingspan (7'10") Thursday among the participants at the 2018 NBA Draft Combine at Quest Multisport in Chicago.
Here's the full list of his other measurements, via NBA.com:
Height without Shoes: 6'11 ¼"
Height with Shoes: 7' ¾"
Weight: 225.6 pounds
Body Fat Percentage: 6.20
Hand Length: 9 ¾"
Hand Width: 10 ¼"
Standing Reach: 9'7 ½"
Do it for Chuck

Think a lot of time they are released as favors not to get maximum value

Maybe Hammond Hammonding it up in Orlando has created an opportunity where a team like the Bucks could grab a high potential guy on the (relative) cheap.
But even if Bamba were to contribute out of the gate I’m not sure if the Bucks would be willing to pay him in addition to Portis much less Connaughton.
I don’t see us paying Donte either but he is proven in our system and also plays a position of need which makes him seem like the safer win now option.
Bamba is only worth it if we are planning to commit. And I have a hard time seeing ownership doing that for a backup center.
Caveat is if Bobby is not coming back then our need for a long term starting center changes substantially.

There are some things in life I will never understand. This board's fascination with Mo Bamba being one of them.

DDV is more valuable to the team, imo.
His teams have allowed less (sometimes by a wide margin) points per possession w/ him on the court every year in the NBA. He's great at getting deflections and is a solid man defender. More capable of guarding the types of small 4's/big 3's that nobody really can on our roster. And you could probably get a bonus high 2nd rounder. So we should do that deal, if offered.

I like Thybulle a lot, would be nice if the Bucks can trade DDV for him.

I would only do that if we had a follow-up trade as in Brook for an expiring e.g. Thad Young. If Brook comes back, Bamba would be more surplus to requirements than Donte is now. And Donte is the more win now player this year.
No thanks, I'd just rotate the 3 headed monster at center with Portis-Bamba-Brook. Then trade Brook in the offseason. We'd probably be able to get a late 1st round pick for him (unless he's completely cooked)

Re: Bucks News, Trade Ideas, Transactions
I really just don't understand trading a versatile guard for a center who isn't a better player. Even without Brook we need like 20 minutes max at center and far less depending on matchups.
