Wait, I thought finally was today? Damnit the whole reason I didn't watch last night is I thought Apple TV+ said premiers Wednesday. Guess I know what I'm doing tonight.

Popped up last night at Midnight.
Amos Barshad: "So you got a job, a place to live, a license? What’s left?"

The driving crooner skit on the first episode of the new I Think You Should Leave season is one of the funniest skits I’ve ever seen

Perfect ITYSL / Tim Robbins skit. Great set up. Great sight gag. Super original premise. Hilarious yelling “I JUST NEED TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO MAKE MONEY ON THIS!” And of course, excessive absurdity.

Had to be Detroit. These guys have Elmore Leonard down almost as well as Elmore Leonard.

Finally watched the Barry finale. I thought the finale
Spoiler:
was the best episode post time jump, but the time jump really hurt the show for me. The episode with Barry escaping was so damn good and that next episode was the worst one of the entire series in my opinion.

The tacked on bit at the end was funny, but I’m still not sure if season 4 was worth it or not. The season 3 finale might’ve been the perfect stopping point.

Read on Twitter
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

Barry:

Spoiler:
First off, I’m biased. I love that show and will remember it fondly. I’m not as down on it as some. Maybe 3rd season was peak and that’s broadly judging it and subjective. Different strokes, different folks. HOWEVER, it was interesting because it begged the question, “are Gene and Barry heroes or villains?” The correct answer is yes and everything in between. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.

The Noho death scene struck a chord with me. Rivaled Sally’s monologue from season 3.

Silo:

Spoiler:
Is setting up nicely. Episode 6 was excellent character and relationship development. Fascinating concept.

Silo is like watching some of the best throw-back science fiction. Imagine that, good acting, writing, and set design >>> watching characters stand in front of a green screen for hours.

Spoiler:
Only gripe is that while I really want to like him as a person, Common is just such a terrible actor, man. No idea why they gave him such a big role. Everyone else is fantastic.

Spoiler:
I 100% agree on Common. There's a stiffness to his acting that I can get past.
