Saw on Bucks reddit that Hill was out with a legit non-covid illness, but yeah the assumption is that he's the unvaxxed one if the team is still not at 100%

I have to admit that I am concerned about Hill. Our depth can’t afford Hill and Portis not being able to show up at least for 10ish minutes in the playoffs. I mean there is a lot of depth in the wings between DDV, Allen, Pat, Nwora and I’m not even counting Hood, Thanasis, Semi. When it comes though to backup PG and C there are literally only Hill and Bobby to soak minutes.

I guess that Hill will be vaccinated and won’t become a problem in the locker room, but he is only getting older too. Maybe I’m wrong but I see his salary as a match for another PJ move in the deadline. I still think that Bud should have pushed harder for Schroder. Some red flags there too, but at least he is younger and still fighting for his payday.

Meanwhile Grayson is a lot lazier on D, nor can he cover the passing lanes like Donte, despite Allen's combine quickness. But Allen seems to be able to finish at the rim and most importantly has a sweet three point stroke that he quickly gets off.

The great part is that if Donte can get healthy and return by say Christmas, we'd have both of them to work with, and that depth would be amazing.

I know your much more into the advance stat thing than i am but when you say donte is way better on D do the advance stats show that or is that more of a eye test to you.
Im curious if someone is 1 point better on D is that considered much better on D

I think Portis is the only one not to play any minutes, sans DDV.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I'm going on the eye test in the these first couple preseason games. Grayson loses his man quite a bit. And the thing we had with Donte was he was fantastic playing those passing lanes for steals.

The only time I remember noticing Grayson play defense is when he guessed right on a Giannis euro step and stole the ball from him. Probably one of the better defensive plays you will see.

Btw, yes - Sam Dekker would have been a smart acquisition for the Bucks. He had a brilliant game against the Wizlets yesterday. He belongs in the NBA.

And here I thought Zach was one of the few national pundits who has actually watched a Bucks game.

It seemed to me like a flex attempt about how much basketball he watches by complimenting the local commentator, and he was just way off on it. Or he's a total psychopath and actually does like Novak's commentary lol.

So…Novak is a source for Lowe?

Or the ‘too nice’ theory could make sense if he is a bit flip with his credibility in these kind of matters.

one point better is pretty good, if it's real. Problem is the stats are flukey from year to year. Allen's best defensive year (last year, by far) isn't as good as Donte's worst year. But the stats loved Donte a lot more in 2019-2020 than in his other two years.

Yup makes me cringe when people talk about only giving one an extension when we really need both
