If we can get something for Hood, Nwora & Semi then, great. Other than that, I'd hang on to everyone else and take our chances on the buyout market.

Nwora is another guy I have a hard time seeing ownership bringing back even if he shows promise.
On the flip side having a hungry young player with millions on the line if he only has a few good playoff performances has value too. Though of course it’s a big question how likely it actually is that Nwora could end up playing meaningful playoff minutes.
The rub either way is what we could really get for a second or two + Nwora + a bit of cap filler.

Re: Bucks News, Trade Ideas, Transactions
Given their abundance of guards, I see bringing a third team in to get Bamba as more viable.
OKC trades
2022 First Rounder via LAC
OKC receives
Donte DiVincenzo
Orlando trades
Bamba, MCW
Orlando receives
22 LAC FRP, Nwora, Hood, Ojeyle
Bucks trade
DiVincenzo, Nwora, Ojeyle, Hood
Bucks receive
Bamba, MCW
OKC acquires Donte’s RFA rights by dumping one of their eleventy billion first rounders they own.
Orlando saves some cash, takes a flier on Nwora and gets another first for their continuous rebuild.
Bucks take a chance on a high upside guy on and utilize his rim protection and rebounding this year, and a defensive chess piece to guard 1-3 in MCW for spot minutes.

SupremeHustle wrote:Maybe I'm missing something (sincerely). Why would we trade DDV for Okoro? The point of trading DDV would be to get some size. We're pretty deep at the Okoro position.
Okoro has size though, maybe not in the way you're envisioning. He's only 6'5" but is built like a brick house with elite athleticism and a 6'9" wingspan. He has the ability to play up to the 4 or even the 5, whereas Donte can maybe play up to the 3 in a pinch. Plus, he's still on his rookie deal and Donte will be commanding considerable money. Just more defensive versatility, and more cost controlled. Okoro could be a suped-up Tucker. And check the receipts, I am among the biggest Donte stans since the day we drafted him. (and I would demand picks in return for the swap)

Donte is awesome and we need to keep him around in case Pat costs too much. Also, I love Donte. Watch that part of the third after Giannis goes to the bench and Donte is in everything keeping the momentum going.

Yeah, probably. So would Philly though, given the familiarity. DDV for Thybulle straight up or DDV for Okoro/2nds would be my preference order.
Got some isolation stats for me? KD versus Okoro, Thybulle, Watanabe, Reddish?
Nah, not in front of me. I just recall the double OT game last season where he guarded Harden and Durant really tough as a 19-year-old. He's given Khris and Giannis some uncomfortable moments as well, if I remember correctly.
Really like your Watanabe idea, although I think Masai would demand Mr. Nigeria Jordan Nwora in return.

I'm no billionaire with a B, but I think we need to ride these dudes through the playoffs. Might be the best team we ever throw out there in the Giannis era.

I love Donte and would like to keep him around. I wish there was a way to flip Brook for Barnes. Add Nwora + whatever picks and swaps we have left.

Allen/DDV
Midds/Pat
Barnes/Giannis
Giannis/Bobby

They won't either way. No room for slow centers versus Brooklyn or Golden State.
Wha? Bamba from a pure athleticism and measurements is among if not the freakiest athlete the league has ever seen.According to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune, Bamba finished the sprint in 3.04 seconds.
Per Jordan Schultz of Yahoo Sports, that reported time was faster than the one several current NBA All-Star guards posted, including Russell Westbrook (3.08), Dwyane Wade (3.08), James Harden (3.13), John Wall (3.14), Kemba Walker (3.16) and Victor Oladipo (3.25).University of Texas center Mohamed Bamba recorded the longest wingspan (7'10") Thursday among the participants at the 2018 NBA Draft Combine at Quest Multisport in Chicago.
Here's the full list of his other measurements, via NBA.com:
Height without Shoes: 6'11 ¼"
Height with Shoes: 7' ¾"
Weight: 225.6 pounds
Body Fat Percentage: 6.20
Hand Length: 9 ¾"
Hand Width: 10 ¼"
Standing Reach: 9'7 ½"
Yes, he tested fast, but then watch him play. He doesn't show any speed on the floor, and I say that as a fan of him.
The game is evolving, and the traditional center position has almost disappeared, and we'll see even more of that in the playoffs.

LUKE23 wrote:That is true, but Brook would be needed verses Miami, Philly, Utah, Phoenix, if we are looking at it that way. In a vacuum, I'd rather just stand pat assuming Lopez will be back at least a couple weeks prior to the playoffs, just not sure Bucks will know that by the deadline. But I love the switching ability we have on the perimeter with the current personnel.
That said, if Lopez can't come back, Cousins is likely easily played off the floor in many matchups, and we don't want Giannis putting up 30+ mpg at C in most scenarios. So I think we would need a fallback option in terms of bigs, even if it's just a defender who doesn't bring a ton else. Hell, I'm not sure if that player is even available.
Why would we need a center versus Utah? Teams without a center played Rudy of the floor last year in the playoffs.

We both know this isn't good enough for Sacramento. If we really want Barnes, it would probably have to be something like this.

(Or something along these lines. Feel free to add pick(s) if you deem it necessary. We could also get Thybulle who's an elite defender.)
Obviously, it's not a realistic scenario. Jrue just helped us win our first ring in 50 years. I really don't expect us to trade him. That said, I believe we might have become a better team after that trade.
PG: Haliburton/Hill
SG: Allen/DDV
SF: Middleton/Pat
PF: Barnes/Bobby
C: Giannis/Len

I think Bamba's probably got conditioning issues. Sometimes he moves extremely well, sprints down the floor, fights for boards, and others he just loafs up and down and floats around the perimeter offensively.

Re: Bucks News, Trade Ideas, Transactions
I think it would be good to see Bamba in another organization, breathe some life back into his career. Injuries and playing for those crummy Magic teams have to take a toll. If he could find his way on a team with established leadership and players that will keep him accountable, he may have a chance to carve out a nice role for himself.

I do think we should be exploring Donte for C scenarios because I think it's time to move on from Brook. Filling that hole takes priority over resigning Bobby imo, not that they directly affect one another.

Filling the reserve forward hole is the only spot we need help. Portis is a top 10 center right now, and Giannis is the greatest back up center in the history of the game.

He is not a top 10 Center. You rely on specific analytics to make your case all of the time but for whatever reason, you're doing the proverbial Jason Kidd 360 and throwing that completely out the window because why? Well, because calling him a top 10 center is some sort of BS Jason Kidd logic.

You're not being honest with yourself at all. Portis is 21st among Cs in RAPTOR, 39th in LEBRON, 26th in EPM, 25th in TPA, he's not even on the map in RAPM, 13th in BPM (with a couple of the above not included listed at PF), and 18th in VORP. You flat out don't have a case for top 10 unless of course you'd like to sit here in front of the class and shout PPGZZZZZZZZ.
Bobby Portis is fun. He can score. This team has long been far more effective with a floor spacing rim protector next to Giannis. Bobby has trouble in the PnR, and he's a non-factor at the rim. While suitable, you don't want to rely on that in crucial momeents.

Capella? Poeltl?
Bobby missed time to start the season, that's the only reason his value stats aren't there yet. His rate stats are outstanding, and there's real value in his floor spacing.
However, what's really funny is that you think we have a crisis at center only weeks after proclaiming Boogie is a superstar.
