i either dont understand what Cleveland is doing or their front office thinks much more highly of their core than i do.

You're in a conference with Giannis, Durant and Embid. Which of your players is going to be better than any of those guys someday? If you dont have that guy, i dont understand the win-now moves. They are ahead of schedule based on everything i've heard from fans of the team and media. Why push it? I feel like this is just limiting their ceiling. We have seen that you can package multiple late 1sts for a needle mover but you get one opportunity like that.

Here.. let me translate this for Gen Z:

This is like, low key Tobias for JJ.

Is this simply a cash grab from the very top? Hook the fans, let em believe, see what happens? I dont get it.

Jokic is fantastic if he had more players around him like Bucks legend Cousins and nba champion Forbes Nuggets would be the favorite to win it all

Embiid is just hitting midrange shot after midrange shot. All contested pretty well too.

Miami doesn't have that guy either.
I guess some teams still believe in team basketball.

Nice to see them digging a hole before KD returns
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Levert to the cavs is interesting. He's basically sexton, which wasn't working out great at the early portion of the season.

Cavs out just burning draft picks. I like it.

I want to this to be the beginning of the end of the nets but I just can’t shake the feeling that in 3 months they’re going to be fully healthy and Kyrie is going to be playing every game and they’re going to steamroll the league.

They're not going to have the chemistry. Say KD is back by late February, in time to play the Bucks on TNT on the 26th. That leaves the team 10 road games to figure out how to gel with Kyrie during actual game time. Plus, then you have to negotiate whatever is making Harden pout and suck right now, assuming that even changes when KD gets healthy. That team is a mess, and unfortunately for Nash (who I like as a guy), he doesn't seem to have the coaching chops nor the ego management skills to be able to make it work.

Yeah, they're still the scariest team to me. These games without Durant mean nothing.

Didn't have chemistry last year and if not for Kyrie getting hurt and Durant stepping on the line, they probably would have won the title.

There's simply no reason to think any of that. And there never has been.

Except they, ya know, didn't.

Use whatever reason you want.

Levert is fine and all but hard to imagine any team thinking he’s the missing piece. Cavs are young and fun and were already heading towards being competitive in the playoffs, so why waste assets on a player that doesn’t change the trajectory you’re already on?

I think Cleveland prematurely blew their load here.. a better player could’ve came available for them by Thursday. Cj McCollum is 1 name they’ve already missed out on now that would’ve been better suited for them. Bradley Beal to name another…

They have the perfect front court with Okoro Mobley and Allen for a small-ish dynamic back court like DG and CJ/Beal. Levert doesn’t really offer the same luster imho…

I’ve been thinking the 2 scariest things to happen for the Bucks at the deadline would be Christian Wood or Brad Beal getting traded to Miami or CJ McCollum or Brad Beal getting traded to Cleveland. Luckily Cleveland just took themselves out of the equation now I’m assuming.
RIP Kobe Forever. GOAT 8-24. Long Live Giannis
