I'd be open to adding Wood if he hadn't alienated himself from every team he's ever been on, but if that were the case, he probably never would have left, and pp's kids wouldn't be running around in Pau Gasol Bucks jerseys.

If you really wanna do New York a solid with their tax bill then just send them Pat and Grayson for Quickley and Fournier. Throw in a future first if you feel that sure about Quickley, IDK. Something like that sure as hell beats trading one of your 2-3 best players and praying that Quickley develops into a Top-30 or 40 guy overnight.

with the news of midds resigning and rumors are it could be a discounted rate, could it be because the bucks are trying to trade Jruefor someone that makes a little more so they could fit that player in under the cap?

Daughter #2 was wearing her "Yi" jersey last weekend. They've outgrown the Redd and RJ ones.

I actually kind of like this trade for everyone but it depends on how the Knicks value IQ. I'm not interested in throwing in our 2029 first or Marjon. I don't know how many smaller guards you need when you have Brunson, you get 2 shooting wings, and you get off a bad contract. We get some youth, the 2nd guard we really need, and open up some playing time for Marjon.

I probably trust Lavine’s knees less than Middleton’s. Sitting out numerous weeks for jumper’s knee (on top of prior injury), when athleticism has been a core component of your game, yikes.

Random note: Lavine’s archetype and playing style had a major impact on a lot of young dudes at the gym, more than I’d have realized. Every 3rd guy I see there moves and plays just like him, minus freakish athleticism and height

Yea I'd rather do that too if possible. But are we now only getting Quickley back in that hypothetical other trade? before it was only Randle.

Did some quick perusing of Knicks board on Quickly takes. Vibe I see is that while they like him and know he's good the problem is he overlaps with Brunson so it doesn't make sense to pay him big starter 25 mil type money when he's essentially backing up Brunson. Still doubt they'd give him up for our scraps, but with the new money rules maybe that dumping Fournier has tons of value to them.

Also, I asked about the hypothetical trade form here before and the few responses so far were essentially mocking it as badly as you guys have done here, pretty much as I expected. Though one did say there's probably a chunk of fans that would do it but no way the FO would. One person responded to that saying No fan would even do that as Randle alone is too valuable

The sense of impending doom that people are getting from acquiring Randle/Quickley for Jrue is warranted but I understand the rationale behind. I have a very similar feeling about running it back with the KM/JH/BL.

Things can change fast in this league. Giannis played (and played pretty well) in the final two games of the Heat series and we looked old, slow and incapable of beating them to me.

Yes. Love Jrue but this time next year we could easily be wondering how we ever scoffed at a Quickley for Jrue swap. As you say, things can change fast.

Simple and elegant.

I’d do it.

Same
Route Grayson to some other team that could use him, have said team sent out something to get us Delon Wright

Murray/Wright
Powell/Pat
Khris/Marjon
Giannis/Crowder
Brook/Bobby
+ Rookies

Gives you a better starting backcourt and a damn good backup 1

Fournier maybe 4 years ago. Not now.

I'd bet current version of Fournier could replace Allen pretty easily.

For vet minimum sure. I doubt he takes it.

Is 34yr old Eric Gordon an upgrade over Grayson Allen? And what type of contract is a good deal for him? Does he sign a vet min deal with MKE to chase a ring? He’s been in the league a long time and made a lot of money, does he make sense for us? Feels like we’ve been tossing his name around on this board since 2008 lol…

Fournier clearly is just salary filler here.

At $18.8M though. So it have to be any two of Bobby,Allen,PatC. Then he isn't worth it. I rather have a Rozier or any of the Bogdanovic's or the $20M dollars list of players.

Without knowing anything, i think that Horst intends to trade Jrue for an offensive player. He is looking for buckets believing that our defense might still be great, even if we trade an elit defensive guy like Jrue. Bobby will stay, even Grayson might stay because Horst values their offensive game. Horst believes that Griffin guarantees our defensive superiority. He loves Jrue but he believes that our offense is declining, thus, a shot creator is high priority. And he doesn't trust Khris being 100 % healthy when we need him the most.

That's why we were interested for Beal. Maybe Lavine too. Horst is not looking for a Sexton/Clarkson type but an elite offensive player. Who can he be? I am sure he is trying to get Dame. Maybe, i say maybe, he would agree to take two Sexton/Clarkson -like players, if he sees he can't get an elite player. In this case, only a three way trade can get us players like them.

Just a wild guess. No way this Jrue statement about retiring is something that Horst loved.

Fournier clearly is just salary filler here.

Only salary filler. But in the tax and possibly second apron. No need for dead weight fillers. Bad enough if we give Brook $17M to $20M per and gets injured or falls off. Or Middleton getting older and slower. Gonna have enough money tied down with our run it back of our core 4. Not including what we pay to keep Crowder and possibly Ingles.
