I give them credit because this is a fun list, but LeBron's block being the #2 sports moment in the last 25 years is just stupid.

Third attempt was a success. No sticking. Need to try it sometime with something other than my $3 bag of crappy white rice.

A pot with a lid? I never have the issues some do with rice. Measure carefully and time it well seems to work out for me. Im pretty anti unitaskers in the kitchen. Unless you eat rice everyday then it might be worth the added cost and added clutter.

I eat rice a crap load. It's my go to for my weekly meals. And while I don't struggle with the pot and a lid, having something do it for me with 0 attention being paid to it sounds lovely.

I've always just stuck with the minute rice. My favorite cheap weeknight meal for a long time is a sautéed pork chop, add a can of cream of mushroom soup and some water to make the gravy, serve it over rice with a side of peas. It's what my mom would make us and I still love it.

Instant pot white recipe that has been fool proof for us: spray bottom of the pot with chosen avocado oil spray, add 2 cups of white or jasmine rice, 2 cups of water. Hit rice button and release pressure between 8-10 minutes cook time depending on your texture preference. Perfect rice every time.

Hamilton Beach Programmable Rice Cooker. About $50. Been using mine for 2 years.
Unless you're going to spend over $400, it is perfect.

I would re-buy my Zojirushi every year if I had to, though it's a quite important gadget to me as I use it I would guess at least three times a week. To my wallet's delight, I've had the same one for nine years strong now and never had to so much as order a backup part.

Not one single sports moment from anything Wisconsin mentioned in the top 100.
I'm not surprised, but, I mean.... they have Kawhi beating the 76ers in the first round as #14.

What kind of rice are you eating, is it Asian or not Asian? If Asian, I’d recommend Cuckoo. Japanese ones are good too, but these days the cheaper Japanese models tend to be made in China, so I’m less confident in the quality, esp with the nonstick inner bowl part. Cuckoos are all made in Korea. I think the Korean ones are generally seen as the best rice cookers nowadays.
If you want to see them in person vs ordering online and you live in a city with an HMart or other Korean groceries, you can go to their housewares section where there’s plenty of rice makers including basic ones. I don’t think there are Korean groceries in WI, but if you’re ever near Chicago there are several big ones in the northern suburbs like Glenview. Back when I grew up in Milwaukee, there was one small local one, more like a bodega (I think it was called “oriental market,” those were the times lol), and my family would go to Chicago for bigger Korean grocery hauls.

I am not a Kopps fan. At all.
Kopps is basically just custard for me. Culvers is no better though and their custard is basically trash to me.
Well, I'm not a custard fan either so that isn't helping my Kopp's opinion.

I had decided about 30 years ago that I didn't like Kopp's. I tried it again a couple years ago to make sure. And I agreed with my 30-years-younger self.

Basmati is my go to, Jasmine is a close second. One I do occasionally is Japanese short grain when I want to mix it up, I think it's highly underrated as nobody ever eats it here.

Basmati is also lower GI than most other white rice (so apart from delicious, just that little bit better for your glucose levels).

I like basmati a lot and generally recognize its superiority, but I have a personal love of jasmine. I buy the 30lb bags from CostCo and store in our deep freeze.

Normal white rice:
Shawarma, Butter Chicken, any other Indian dish.
Also, making some cilantro rice and doing bean plus meat bowls.

Anyone play Immaculate Grid? It's a [sports]ref game, and they just added ability to login so you can track your stats if you're a nerd like me. There are versions for baseball, football, and some others too.
I was surprised to see Harden is my most used player. I guess for a high-profile, easy-to-recall player he really has played at a bunch of spots (OKC, Houston, Brooklyn, Philly, LAC). There are better plays out there, but **** me if I can accurately remember all the teams Jeff Green and Trevor Ariza played for.
