Maybe, but it still comes down to the details. Luka, a proven star, for Davis, was foolish. Giannis for Flagg is a whole different story.
Not saying you're wrong and that the difference in scenarios is vast, I just still have a hard time seeing it with the Mavs specifically for Flagg. Through his first 25 games in the league, he's averaging eerily similar stats to Rookie Luka. So while not out of the realm of possibility, I still think it's a major pause to think on that deal from the Mavs perspective and if they'd want to put their fan base through another win-now move on an older player who's starting to show signs of wear of his own. And with reports of them shopping AD, I'm guessing they want to go younger and Kyrie will be next on the trade block.
