Props.

This + the play-in could end up big parts of his legacy.

I think the novelty of it being new is the primary reason for the perceived extra juice some see it's generating.

I also think the novelty will wear off by next season.

Is there a way to know what 2 games we would have played if we didn't clear group play?

I don't think so, but I believe when I was first reading the scheduling rules of the tourney it mentioned that they would try to schedule games between conference teams that weren't scheduled to play 4 times yet.

Mo Wagner's trash talk vs many players including KD and Giannis backfired multiple times.

The video of the actual situation is great when you hear the story first.

"damn that rookie is an ****"

and nothing has changed except mo's no longer a rookie

I mean sometimes, the first impression is indeed the correct impression.

Embiid with a 50p burger in 38 minutes, Maxey with an efficient 26p against the Wizards and the game was close till the end with the Wizards scoring 30p per quarter.

We dodged a bullet with Nurse right? :P

Btw Maxey is averaging 38.4 MPG, by far the most in the NBA. Nurse will burn him out.

Do wonder if Nurse would’ve adapted to our philosophy of not running players into the ground.

He would have had to hire an entire new medical staff. I think how handles Embiid will be instructive.

Epi may have some insights, but I couldn't see the medical staff being ok with a complete change in player management philosophy, and I doubt Horst would have wanted to replace a trusted and respected staff.

If the Clippers flame out what does a tear down look like?

As veteran forward P.J. Tucker put it, “There’s not enough basketballs on the planet for this team, really.”

I didn't realize how much Giddey has been torpedoing OKC, holy ****. 47 TS% and a -15.1 on/off.

Who is the last player of this archetype (oversized guard, comes into the league with no jumper to speak of) to actually pan out?

Adding in that Giddey is also a chimo (allegedly)

Yeah it's really hard to be a permiter player in this day and age when you can't shoot.

People LOVE talking themselves into players like that because they do all sorts of cool **** that excites super fans. But sometimes it really is as simple as if you can't make a shot you will struggle regardless of all the other things you do.

Does Dort count?

He’s a rich man’s Michael Carter Williams. I think he’s more impactful than the stats show, but you need to modify your roster around him.

Still very hard for players/teams to match Lebron's smarts, strength and size when he's on like he's been in this one.
