Gross. Lauri’s deal is bad.

Anything that's going to be offered to us for our meager rations will come with a pretty high level of risk. This at least adds talent and is realistic.

If the goal is to keep Giannis around long term, we can't win 40 games on the back of his brilliance alone next season.

Milwaukee trade: Brolo (3 yr/60M 1st year guaranteed only), Connaughton
Toronto trade: RJ

Why for Milwaukee: add scoring and secondary playmaking help. Barrett's contract lines up to expire alongside kuzma and dame for them to reset in FA in 2 yrs.
Why for Toronto: fill back up C hole w/ a veteran stretch 5 and get salary flexibility (avoids tax) in 26-27
Why for Brolo: $$$

Add 2nd(s) as needed

Kuzma would have to moved immediately after. I don’t think I have the mental fortitude to watch Giannis get frustrated all year playing with Barrett and Kuzma together.

Sure let’s expend the 2031 first to get guys that don’t move the needle. Even with Lauri and Sexton, they’d still only win 41 games. Those two are tank commanders. One dimensional, empty stats.

lauri and sexton for dame and kuzma would be a home run for what were going for. not sure i can agree with this take.

both guys are contributors on practically moveable deals

if that 31 1st clears 100% of our cap space besides giannis then moving it is worth every penny

That's about the best return I'd expect for a pick 6 years from now and no other asset worth a damn...

Who are you holding out for?

The Bucks are gonna be pretty not good if they don't swing something.

I would like the Bucks to take a chance on Barrett because of his growth as a secondary ball handler and distrubuter, but his shooting scares me. However, if the Giannis affect is real he could settle into a great 3rd option role.

Yeah, thats really what it comes down to. If you dont like Lauri, fine, but at some point we have to take a swing on a player where there is doubt that it will pan out.

Theres also the option of waiting on the next Jimmy or KD type. Dont know how many opportunities like that will come along though and the shelf life isnt great even if we get our guy.

Don't matter, Ainge isn't giving Markkanen away. That's not what Ainge does.

I like Lauri but he’s an awkward fit here. He can’t play centre and we already have Giannis in the PF spot. And we have the discount version of him already in Bobby.

Negotiations with your own players start today. I think we're go to hear about new contracts for Rollins and Sims pretty quick.

Are we going to end up with Beal in a buy out?

What type of value do we think Porzingas has around the league? I’m starting to warm up to the idea of pairing him with Giannis. They’re close friends on top of great compliments to each other on the court, I could see that duo working out real well together. Do we have enough to pry him from Boston and what do we think is the cost? Or is this just a bad idea in general? I’m not sure at all.

Haliburton and Tatum out and Celtics will likely get even worse to save some money. If Horst can’t put together a 4-6 seed team next year even without Dame, massive failure imo.

The KD trade can't be finalized until July 6. Any interest in getting Brooks rerouted here?

Tough choice between getting myself to root for Dillon Brooks on the Bucks and plunging a dirty ice pick into my eye socket.imo
