Which point guard in this draft is worth Donte, let alone him and the pick? I'd trade our pick and a future 1st on draft night to move up for one though, like Anthony, Hayes, Hampton, Mannion, etc.

Having watched nothing but high school highlights. Mannion would be fun

Mannion & DiVincenzo would be the most Ginger-Italian duo on the planet.

Celtics have it.

Celtics have it once the Bucks clinch the playoffs. Top seven protected ;-)

I've only started going deep into this year's draft class but imo we're looking at a pretty good year.

I'm falling in love with dudes. We can get an impact guy. It's helpful that we don't necessarily need a moonshot, just ideally a core 2-way piece.

Who's caught your eye of late?

Killian Hayes has been invading my thoughts. Can't stop watching him. He needs to toughen up and work on his ambidexterity, but his vision and scoring instincts out of the PnR is elite. His off the dribble and step back game is becoming lethal too. Unselfish, does well off-ball. The more I watch, the more I would do whatever possible to move up and secure him. Bit of a project, but worth it.

There's plenty of guys. Imo we're looking at a very deep international class (and I love me some Europeans). Besides the top rated guys I like Sylla a lot. Looks like he's going to be an elite defender right off the bat.
In the US I like quite a few guys. There are plenty of plus to elite shooters out there not mocked that high. I like Nesmith and it's impressive what Stackhouse did for his game (big coach Stackhouse fan here). Bey looks okay though I'm always a bit vary of single season shooting improvement and that makes him or breaks him for me as a prospect. I think Howard is one of the best shooters we've seen in any given draft. If he's even playable on defense he should be considered in the lottery. Right now I think there is a huge discrepancy between what we've seen are successful NBA archetypes and where players are getting mocked in drafts.

Strength-of-schedule/opposing-PG-defense truthers win in a blowout. Brogdon is good, but not a lead guard by any stretch of the imagination.

I can see that - a poor man's Midds. I don't think he has any real play-making skills though, at this point. He can score though. Solid prospect.

Honestly... I think he's the best prospect in the draft. Hard to believe he's just 18. He could get bigger - what if he gets to 6'7 220ish? Not saying he will, but he might.

In other threads we've talked about the model for building around Giannis, and whether it's better to have a bunch of tough all-around try-hards or knock down shooters. With Saddiq Bey and Devin Vassell, you don't have to choose. Give me both.

I wonder if Haliburton could drop to the Indy pick. Would be a great pick.

It would be shocking - especially seeing the success of SGA - who he's somewhat comparable to.

Brogdon and Oladipo have been AWFUL together so far. I'm okay with this.

The degree to which we agree on drafting FSU players year after year (you, because you understand basketball; me, because I am a massive homer) makes me happy. Give me Vassell every day and Saturday. Kid can ball.

Brogdon really has been trash for the last two months.
