Go back about five pages.

Checked Jrue’s twitter. Didn’t see many tweets there. Maybe he was vacationing on the banana boat and out of the country.

Too busy making public excuses to Ros Gold-Onwude about not being able to defend Jimmy Butler.

I hope we soon are told about an offensive mastermind who will be Griffin's lead assistant. It actually doesn't have to be a mastermind, just someone willing to run pick and rolls

Hopefully this equates to a rough start, then getting hot at the right time and winning from the 4th seed as opposed to our usual hot season dumpster fire playofs.

Philly would be my guess. I still think Kevin Young is the Phoenix coach.

Also, I think you're spot on with Nurse being eliminated first. Shams and Nurse both share the Klutch agency, so Shams tried to spin it before Woj dropped the nuke.

i dont want to be dramatic, but this feels like the beginning of the end.

underwhelming hire at a time when we really needed to make the right decision.

we will now convince ourselves that maybe just maybe this is the guy, but i've now followed sports long enough to be able to sniff out the hopium before sobriety actually hits. this feels like moving on from a very good QB and drafting some upstart. not even an elite prospect, a late 1st rounder. but he's the guy because he's the new guy.

at the end of the day, though, if this is what keeps Giannis in Milwaukee longer, i'm in. i dont even care if we are no longer the front runner, or if our actual chances of winning another championship are small. i just want this Giannis thing to last as long as possible.

That's the biggest question I have an hour or so later. Masi firing the coach of the year to hire Nurse. Now he's letting Griffin walk.

I squandered an asset? Then Hammond taught me well.

I think it would be like us hiring Charles Lee after Bud got fired. Well thought of, but a new outside voice was desired.

Doc Rivers is even more experienced. Did you want him?

No. There’s multiple factors in everything. Bud and Doc have proven that they are not elite coaches at the highest levels. Both have proven however they can Atleast win in the regular season. Griffin has proven none of these things.

I’m fine with firing Bud, I’m fine with Nurse/Giannis not wanting to work with each other, but this is at best a shot in the dark. Horst should be on the hottest of hot seats

Any assistant coach that has never been a head coach can't just automatically be off the table. Is it risker? Of course. If he turns out to be worse than Bud I agree it's probably costing Horst his job.

Yes. They elevated an assistant when they went from Casey to Nurse. They wanted a new direction.

What a Bucks move ...
Bucks hired a rookie GM
Rookie GM hires a rookie head coach
The degree of incompetence is huge

How long is someone considered to be a rookie? Is Giannis a rookie since he’s still with his original team? Horst has been GM for 6 years now and it’s not even the first coach hiring of his tenure.

That's a gamble and I really didn't want a gamble.
I wanted Nurse but Giannis and Khris must really dislike him or he was a diva and hard to get on his interview.
If Philly or the Celtics hire him it will be a huge L for us.

Anyway Griffin it is. Good luck and I hope for him atleast to improve our defense and we finally stop playing the percentages in the playoffs.
Our offense will always depend on Giannis bullyball and our threes hitting or not.

6 years is a rookie? I know you have an agenda but get a grip.

The options weren't great imo. I'm optimistic.

Now that Giannis is the official GM, I’m really looking forward to seeing how he navigates the next several year of roster construction with the organization in luxury tax hell with no draft capital and old, declining players.
