If we're a 60 win team it's not because of any personnel moves we made, and I wouldn't bet on us to win more regular season games than the C's, but we remain a tough matchup for them if healthy.

Yeah, agreed with everything here.

So you didnt like beas ( which is being nice) and you consider trent (beas2.0)so who would you rather see start at the 2 AJJ ( fu... hilarious marjon.....who ) im.asking cause your not happy 2nd year in row with who they signed to play the 2 spot with very limited cash.
I wanna see you happy shootingtheJ

Like him to but from what people have said hes not a starting 2 guard he couldnt start on his last team why would he be a starter on a team with chip aspirations

I definitely think we're 2nd in the East personally.

Putting us behind Philly is straight up lunacy.

Agree. Philly will continue to struggle. Dumb coach and fragile star. Plus, Paul George doesn't care about winning 1 bit.

Paul George is still one of the better perimeter defenders in the NBA. The guy definitely cares about winning. Guys who don’t care about winning don’t play defense.

I have seen enough of GTJ because I have fam in Oregon, GTJ is a better defender than Beas and it's not very close. GTS also played better next to Dame, probably because he didn't hate his life playing on a lotto team in Canada

Our superior skyline alone should give him a massive boost in motivation.

Quite enjoying that you're desperate to have an argument seemingly because I'm not sufficiently excited about this signing for your liking. You're being a weirdo, dude.

No im trying to ask you who the Bucks should have signed instead of GTJ thats an "actual defender", thats your complaint. that you would have liked a "actual" defender, my question is who? This is realGM lets have actual discusions about ACTUAL options the Bucks could have gone with instead.

you wont give me a name because the reality of the situation is there ISNT one

You took a post out of its reasonable context including removing parts of it they may have helped you understand it, started an argument and then doubled down even after getting additional information that you were barking up the wrong tree. There's any number of people critical of this signing you could have had your fight with but instead here we are with you fighting yourself and me getting notifications about it.

Feel like this balances out the Vasquez deal where Raps got Norm Powell and later traded him for GTJ and now GTJ lands with us for nothing.

That's is a great question. Is he willing to take less shots and work on defense to fit in? For all of Beasley's faults, and there were many, I was most surprised that his usage rate dropped quite a bit from normal to try and fit in.

As i said before, I love Trent Jr. on a minimum, but I would rather he be a scorer off the bench and start Delon Wright next to Dame. Maybe it doesn't matter who starts since lineups switch in and out throughout the game, but I would love to see Trent Jr. be the leader of the bench unit and fight for 6MOY. Probably won't happen if he is fighting for a contract.

great value for u guys at 1 year minimum
he's a lights out stationary shooter. did better under nurse who let him put the ball on the floor for some step backs
very bad tunnel vision when in transition, doesnt pass
and cant finish at the hoop well
defensively when he's engaged he gets steals

This is literally the first thought I had after hearing about the signing, adding further evidence that my brain isn't wired correctly.

The only argument for Trent to start over Wright is if Trent can benefit from the stars playing him open and Delon is needed to keep the 2nd unit rolling.

Not only is Wright a better defender, but he's also a more efficient offensive player than Trent.

Trent has a -3 career net rating, while Wright is +8. That's an 11-point swing in the starting lineup. I don't know how you look at that and clearly say Wright shouldn't be considered for the starting 2 role.

Hell, the guy was +15 for the 12th-place Wizards in 22-23.

I was talking with one of my buddies earlier and made this same parallel. I think he will to you all what KCP was to the Lakers after he left Detroit.

Huge signing for the Bucks and I think this puts your squad firmly as #2 in the East over New York and Philly.

GTJ and KCP have almost identical physical profiles. Lakers KCP could be a dynamite comparison, fingers crossed. Trent is an upgrade either way even if he doesn’t reach that level of wing defender like KCP is, but if he does this team could flirt with a 60 win season. Health on our side, of course.

Delon Wright is critically underrated and is a much bigger signing than this. I will forever believe he took less money to be here too. Guy is just a winner.
