Obviously we would find a spot for him somewhere but if we decided to be cheap, could we just let him hang with the team without technically being an employee at all? Is there a rule against that?

Follow up question, with him being out for the year could we just sign him and instantly get an injury exception or whatever it's called to free the roster spot back up again?

I don't really get why we'd add him to the roster this year anyways but just thinking through how it would play out.

Kings, Grizzlies and Pelicans could absorb Bobby into the MLE under the cap to fill out their front court.

Imagine that’d drop the Bucks under the 2nd apron too.

I know 80% of this board wants bobby gone really so whose gonna replace his scoring as bad as some of you say he is on D hes still a double double machine n that opens up a huge hole with scoring off the bench.I would trade 3 youngsters instead of bobby

I think Doc likes Bobby, so I doubt we trade him, unless Horst overrules Doc.

Im not one to really worry too much about the last spot on the bench but signing TA who cant even practice would be such a waste

if he's a free agent still at this point, that might tell you something.

no one should be questioning the value of having Thanasis on the roster. if you still dont get it, you haven't been paying attention.

Can get rid of the conditional there and the sentence remains true.

Still on the assistant coach train. He can't even play. I would get it if the idea was his presence on the court, but he would be on the sidelines always, let's use that spot for someone who can play. We have plenty of older guys/injury prone guys and young guys and every roster spot counts. He can come back next year when he can be on the court too.

If they trade MarJon for a conditional 2nd or something, they need to sign Gabriel to a deal that guarantees in January. It's asinine to sign an injured Thanasis just so he can sit one row closer to the court, particularly when a defensive swing big is such a roster hole.

If the Bucks trade Beauchamp I'm giving the last roster spot to Ryan Rollins. He's showed me enough to think he can be a solid NBA bench guard. He's also still only 22. Thanasis is a waste of a spot no matter how you try and debate it for chemistry/locker room/morale, etc.
