To me this stuff is like projections. None of us can see what players or teams will do in the future, just like we can rarely confirm this stuff 100%. So some of it can be interesting, maybe shape our perceptions a little bit sometimes if the pieces seem to fit together. But yeah, no one's going to win a pissing contest about this.
How much is really black or white in life when it comes down to it? There's not even a good way to sum up a player's defense yet we fight over absolutes that aren't there. We can look at some stats and sometimes they don't tell the whole story. There's a lot of gray, and all the need for black-or-white characterizations probably contributes to this tension.
At least we could go through old threads and compare projections to reality, like Simulack just did with Bogut. That probably says more about "credibility" anyway. Or really, credibility? We're trying to keep our basketball insights as close to accurate as possible, maybe listen to some other pretty accurate, insightful people and try to tune out those who don't seem as accurate (like cbq said, that's what the ignore button's for if you want to put someone into this category, again there's no winner in this pissing contest). And have fun keeping up with sports, if fun is part of the goal.
It's funny that there's a Redd trade in this one lonely "don't trade Redd" topic. I don't like that trade at all, but at least it's not its own new thread.

I assume it involves Twirl.
Whoa I first come on here today and all of a sudden I'm involved in some make-up sex without saying anything. Awesome!

In some cases it may not have been every part of their individual posts that the poster was right about.. it was often piecee at a given time. If you pull those things apart and lay them out (I'm a detailed oriented person), much of what was said mirrors what I am saying and doesn't necessarily mean I am saying anything opposite of what GAD has written in it's entirety. If he wants to know.. he can go back and read all of the threads about the subject and his answers are right there. If he chooses not to do that because it's to tedious then that's fine. I have no problem with that. Based on the way he has written things in this particular thread.. I have 0 interest in helping him search for anything.steger_3434 wrote:CBQ, Adam isn't asking you to research the posts and copy and paste the posts. All he is asking you is to tell him what posters with inside infor backed up your claim. From there THEN he can go back and do the research on his own to verify that they were indeed backing you up.
However, all you're doing is telling him to go look it up for himself. That is IMPOSSIBLE to do without knowing what posters post to look through.
Tell him what posters with insider info backed you up and let him do the rest of the work. If he wants more than that from you then I agree with you that you should tell him to find it himself.

CBQ wrote:And yes, the SAR contract thing is very true.. it's been confirmed a ton of times by our insiders.
adamcz wrote:By who? We have so many "insiders" here that it's hard to keep track of them all. GAD said that it was we who withdrew the offer, and we did his agent a favor by allowing them to act like it was SAR who turned it down. So which of our "insiders" overrides that?
CBQ wrote:Look it up.. there were plenty of posts that confirmed all this stuff.
adamcz wrote:Either you have no idea who made such claims, or you're being a total jerk for replying "look it up" instead of posting the name of your source.
CBQ wrote:Several different posters made statements regarding this stuff..and the confirmation I received on certain things from my sources I can't and won't reveal. I don't consider it being a "jerk" to tell you to go search for information on your own. It is in previous posts if you take the time too look for. I didn't have the time for that today..
adamcz wrote:CBQ, how can I follow your order to look up your SAR claim even if I wanted to? I asked you several times who the "inside source posters" are who broke this story, and you have thus far refused to tell me. So how can I look it up? If you don't remember who it is, how do you know they have inside sources?
....
adamcz wrote:You also say that insiders here at realgm back you up, but you don't remember who they are. It's just ridiculous.
CBQ wrote:When did I say that? I don't recall anything like that being said.. I believe that is your assumption.
Wow..
Wow is right. You're now claiming that you do remember who the posters are, but are just refusing to share.

Actually what I originally wrote in that post was inappropriate, so I changed it to that.. I know who you are talking about, I just choose not to acknowledge it.WEFFPIM wrote:-= original quote snipped =-
If you can't figure it out, there's no reason for me to point it out.

I've learned from that mistake before. Cost me my femur and the roof of my house.
