MOAR SKYWALKS!!!!

It’s idiotic for them not to have skywalks going into that building from multiple areas. Most people dont like walking out in that cold... and when you expect them to come to your games and drop 100s of dollars, at least give them a warm walking access in from the over priced parking lots.

It’s not even a respect for your STH holder thing, it’s a... how do we sell out the building night in and night out. Cold keeps people home and watching the game in front of the tube. If you can eliminate that excuse for the most part... you put more butts in seats, and spending more money.

The Bucks sold out the arena last Saturday. It was single digit temps at tip off. If the team is good, people will come.

Also, you think the owners are building this giant entertainment district across the street only to have people take a skywalk over it to get to the game?

This will be a cluster if for some reason that skywalk goes only into a secured suite area and you can't have the public parking there gain access to the arena.

I'm still holding out hope they weren't that dumb in designing this. If there were multiple skywalks, then sure have your secluded skywalk for the royalty that leads to the suites. But there is only ONE, and everyone sees it and everyone wants to use it.

Looks nice from the pics. Looking forward to seeing it in person. I get downtown 2-3 times a month or more. It was fun watching the progress. Now the outside is basically done so there's nothing much to see.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

My first thought is how close those upper level seats are to the court. No true "nose bleed" seats anymore which is nice. It feels like you walked halfway to the moon when you're up in row V on the top of the BC.
We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.

Yeah the uppers might actually be pretty decent in this place. I'm assuming they will have an open house as they did for the BC (and Miller Park) so we can see the place before buying tix.

Still don't know why it's basically square but maybe they are all that way in NBA arenas?

Very slowly, and very surely, another piece of the Milwaukee Bucks' arena puzzle was put in place on Tuesday, Jan. 16.

“Now you start to really picture what it’s going to look like," said Bucks Senior Vice President Alex Lasry.

Crews raised the massive Daktronics scoreboard into the rafters at what will be center court of the Wisconsin Entertainment and Sports Center.

“It’s one of the top 10 scoreboards in size in the NBA," Lasry said. "This will be a full HD scoreboard."

“It’s 25 feet tall by 29 feet wide on all four faces," added Daktronics spokesperson Matt Gregg.

In Milwaukee, that’s measured as 3.6 Giannis Antetokounmpo’s by 4.2 Antetokounmpo’s. At 3,922 total square feet, it is the largest equally four-sided scoreboard in an NBA-only arena.

The board will be lit for the first time in March, and beyond size, officials said fans will really notice the 9.4 million LEDs.

“We’ll be able to show new statistics," said Lasry. "We’ll be able to show in-game replays at a must crisper level.”

That cutting-edge clarity will give the game-ops crew significantly more options than with the BMO Harris Bradley Center’s 8-year-old scoreboard.

“You’re not able to do a lot of the new, diverse, creative things that a lot of NBA arenas are able to do," Lasry said of their current situation. "We’ll be able to start doing that in the new one, which to us is extremely exciting.”

Lasry said Jan. 16 the Bucks' arena was 80 percent complete -- with more than half of the seats installed. It is anticipated the arena will open on time and on budget this fall.

I'm sorry, but I don't understand what the big deal is over a skywalk. Is it really gonna kill people to get out of their warm car and walk 5 minutes in the cold before getting into the arena?

Chicks dig the skywalks. It's a big feature for them.

When we've gone to the PAC my wife always wants to spend the money to park at that structure with the attached skywalk versus free parking 2-3 blocks up the street.

I get it. Sure, it's more convenient I guess. But there's people (not here) saying they won't be going to as many games if they can't access the skywalk.

I get the whole skywalk thing (Skyway System) in Minneapolis. Connecting buildings to buildings, blocks to blocks. But we're talking crossing one city street here.

Totally off topic, but I got triggered reading "Senior Vice President Alex Lasry" - anybody wanna go back in time and make my Dad a gazillionaire so I can get a title like that for being born?

The skyway system is honestly really awesome. Louisville has one that connects a bunch of buildings around the Yum Center and it's super convenient.

I've always been parking by the museum and walking a good 10 minutes, so not a big deal to me. I'm usually warm by the 3rd Q lol.

Surprised they didn't go widescreen like in Houston. Hopefully its a bigger scoreboard than the BC. After going to Staples, the huge scoreboard is a nice feature.

It's twice as big as the scoreboard in the BMO. Also, it will be the largest center-hung scoreboard in the NBA. Each side is 29 feet tall by 25 feet wide.

Also, isn't it way more display on top of that? The BMO has a big screen on each side, but I thought with the rounded edges being display it will be significantly more viewing sq. ft.

Yep if its cold my wife is all in on the parking structure with the skywalk. I'm a cheapskate so ill park northeast or west and hike in for free, she's a cheapskate too though so if we just paid $20+ for parking theres no going to any concession stand lol. If there were more skywalks in general I might actually spend some time walking around downtown in the wintertime because the way it is now the only reason that i go down there at all in the winter is for a Bucks game and i dont go anywhere before or after because parking is a pain and walking more in the cold isnt happening.
