The Finals Game 6: We are the Champions my friend(s)!

I know this isn't championship memorabilia, but everyone's stories of bad quality and shipping delays scared me off and I went looking elsewhere. I ordered this from a site called Homage, it came today (~2 weeks total from order to arrival), and it's awesome.

Now that I've seen the site is quality, I'm absolutely ordering more. They have some great designs.

I guess I'll go the other way on Homage. I ordered this Bucks in Six tee and while it's fine, and I wear it, I'm not in love with the quality (to say the least). I used to have a very specific style for my tees and hoodies (boring), but in the last year I've ordered a ton of gear with prints that I enjoy. The homage tee is definitely in the bottom 5% in terms of quality. That it was $34 for a tee is pretty insane. In fact, I think literally all the championship gear I bought (that tee, another tee, and a hoodie, all from Fanatics) were pretty sh*tty. Haven't worn the hoodie or the other tee.

ETA: That said I just noticed Fanatics has most of their Bucks championship on clearance. That $34 tee in the link is like $12. I ordered three tees and a hoodie for like $65. Not anticipating great quality, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Huh, good to know as it makes me more cautious about ordering more. Maybe I lucked out with this one.

I absolutely hate Fanatics. Their sizing is absurd, at least for my body type. I don't need a tshirt that goes halfway down my thighs.

By the way, I wonder if anyone in this forum knows of anybody who saw them win in 1971 in the stadium and then again in the fiserv in 2021.

I bought a book after the recent Bucks Championship, published by Journal-Sentinel, I think. I have just begun to read it. The first few pages are all on true stories and memories about the 1971 win. The pictures are black and white and stories are sometimes told by the son or daughter of a main participant in the team or team management, but the Bucks pride is clearly evident.

It puts the 2021 July win in perspective for me. I was fortunate to be at the Fiserv that day and later at the parade. Waiting to read about that in the same book.

That Bucks team remains the fastest from expansion team formation to championship in any professional sport (although the Vegas Golden Knights in hockey almost beat them, losing in the Stanley Cup Finals).

Winning the championship that fast kind of took your breath away. When they picked up Oscar in Kareem/Lew's second year you could see that they were head-and-shoulders above anyone else in the league, but they still had to do it, and they took care of business. Oscar's style was similar to Doncic now -- he played at his own pace and forced the game to come to his terms, not the other way around. And having Lew to feed, or the option of scoring himself with that patented one-hand push shot, made him and the Bucks unstoppable.

As someone else pointed out on Twitter, Curry also was guilty of a blatant travel before the shot. Just look at those four baby steps.

Getting rid of the Sam Cassell jump-into-defender move is a good first step toward reconforming NBA rules to real basketball rules. Although when Sam used to do it for the Bucks, I loved it.

I have a 7 hour layover in Phoenix today and I simply can’t not show up in championship gear.

Have flown through phoenix a few times since the ship and I have worn Bucks championship gear each time. It feels amazing showing up at the gate for the flight to MKE and seeing others doing the same

Hadn't gotten my order, presumably because I ordered a shirt I haven't seen offered in months, and just dropped $200 on gear for my kid, my brother, and well, mostly me. Even a huge discount on a banner I will wave proudly until my death.
