Nurse is giving me some George Karl vibes at the moment.

Took the words out of my mouth. Also giving me George Karl vibes

Giannis voted in our poll evidently.

Kenny Atkinson just gives me the vibe of an old guy trying to act like the cool guy fit in with the group but when something goes wrong he yells at everyone like they are children with out dated shaming rants

Woyld you expect anything different the buck players have been pampered n coddled fpr the rime bud was here never held accountable by the coach and buds i dont give a sh.. about the RS approach wore off on the players. Why woukd rhey want a stricter im holding you accountable if you suck coach.
Nurse will practice them harder n i expect will demand more of them diring the game.
Can see the buck players already worried about practices n actually getting into shape during the preseason

The soft frauds prefer a player's coach.

No ****....lol.

Hurry up and hire Nurse and and make some moves to try and get some competitors on this team.

Agree would never call them soft but they would prefer a players coach(ie.coddling ,soft) is that how you define a PC

Unless something more credible comes out I think these rumors are just twitter gossip. I guess Adrian Griffin could be considered more of a "player coach" but I find it pretty hard to believe we'd interview Nurse and his top assistant and be like we just want his assistant, think it could be a packaged deal or to get his name out there. Atkinson certainly isn't a player's coach tho, there isn't anything in these rumors that would indicate him. Just get it done with Nurse already !

Those quotes make it sound like Giannis wants Kidd back.

I feel like it’s on the players to maintain the culture, it’s not like we’re a young team. Man up and take responsibility yourself.

Just hire the best coach.

If Lebron wants to retire let’s talk to the Lakers on how they can have Hams mentor in Bud, and we get Ham back to run the show here

Absolutely agree like the players are afraid that a big mean coach will come in and make them accountable and actually make tjem work

What defines a player's coach, what is the alternative, and what are some examples of great coaches who are universally accepted as player's coaches?

I probably would have called Bud a player's coach in that he never seemed to give anybody a hard time about anything and let them do whatever they wanted offensively. But I guess not so... not sure what the label means.

If the culture you followed brought you to this, of what use was the culture?

Darvin Ham , Monty Williams type. I think Griffin is like that, much more personable.

Bud, Pop, Kerr they're a bit more removed

The "players coach" term is thrown around as much as the "making adjustments" term.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Think the alternative would be a hard ass a coach who makes his players responsible for how they play a coach who does things his way i guess doesnt care if the players like him someone wjo runs a tight ship

It's honestly hard to define from the outside. But there are certain coaches that players just respect more and are able to build better relationships. It does seem most players coaches are former players but there are certainly exceptions

If we want to roll with a "players coach" or "coach" who makes giannis "comfortable" like many of others have said, sign an extension then.

Can we just take Bud back and force him to hire effective assistants?

I like a coach that's gonna mix it up and make it less predictable.... You know.. "coach random"
