Real or perceived, feel like there are some cracks beginning to show in the Nurse armor. Still think you exhaust the Brad Stevens route and then maybe turn your attention to Kenny Atkinson as option B if you don't think Nurse is the right culture fit.

Kenny Atkinson just gives me the vibe of an old guy trying to act like the cool guy fit in with the group but when something goes wrong he yells at everyone like they are children with out dated shaming rants

The part about players wanting a players coach rather than a coach who is a great basketball mind is discouraging

Woyld you expect anything different the buck players have been pampered n coddled fpr the rime bud was here never held accountable by the coach and buds i dont give a sh.. about the RS approach wore off on the players.Why woukd rhey want a stricter im holding you accountable if you suck coach.
Nurse will practice them harder n i expect will demand more of them diring the game.

Unless something more credible comes out I think these rumors are just twitter gossip. I guess Adrian Griffin could be considered more of a "player coach" but I find it pretty hard to believe we'd interview Nurse and his top assistant and be like we just want his assistant, think it could be a packaged deal or to get his name out there. Atkinson certainly isn't a player's coach tho, there isn't anything in these rumors that would indicate him. Just get it done with Nurse already !

It's honestly hard to define from the outside. But there are certain coaches that players just respect more and are able to build better relationships. It does seem most players coaches are former players but there are certainly exceptions
