They’re close friends on top of great compliments to each other on the court, I could see that duo working out real well together. Do we have enough to pry him from Boston and what do we think is the cost? Or is this just a bad idea in general? I’m not sure at all.

Yeah, all this talk about paying Ainge to bail him out of that Lauri contract when Porzingis is a better fit and probably can be had essentially for salary filler. Just don't know what the logistics would be without paying a third team to dump either Pat or Kuzma.

Even without Dame next year. I think we can make the Finals. As long as Giannis is healthy I think we can do it.

So Brooks or Kuzma is what you're thinking about I see.

I like Zinger but his health is such a red flag. Does this string of numbers mean anything to you?

57-43-51-65-57-42

That's the number of games he's played per season since his ACL tear/missed season.

It wouldn't be my first choice but I'd be curious as to how much OKC would give us for the 2031 1st considering they're gonna have more players/picks than available roster spots. Does it get you #15, #24, Ousmane Dieng, and their 2026 Top-20 protected 1st?

Yea, I like Brooks on paper better than in reality. He's a dirty player that does really stupid **** to try to get under the opponents skin. I just don't have any faith in Kuzma being valuable

Yeah this would be my issue as well but the fit is seamless on paper and if he had a “relatively” healthy season it could make a world of difference with Giannis spearheading the whole thing. I’d imagine that Brooklyn would be the team to talk to as the 3rd team salary eater.

Maybe something like-

Boston in - Pat C

Brooklyn in - Kuzma, Hauser, future 1st from Boston

Milwaukee in - Porzingas

I know Bostons cap sheet is a mess so idk if they have to match salaries or if they’re allowed to dump multiple contracts and only take back Pats salary or what? This would be ideal framework if you wanted it to be.

I'd do that for KP because he only has one year left on his deal. Would actually do it in a heartbeat and then I would baby his ass until the playoffs. I doubt Boston does it.

Also, did we ever figure out what the hell he was dealing with this postseason? Is he still sick?

Boston will find a buyer for KP without attaching an asset. It's the Jrue contract that they'll have to attach value. Which makes it super weird why the media is treating him like a player that requires a "bidding war". But who knows, with Sacramento, LA, and Dallas apparently showing interest, maybe they'll actually be able to fleece some dumb team and get cap relief plus useful players for him.

Yeah, Boston could actually want more in this scenario. I could see that. Ron Swanson mentioned turning the 2031 1st into a nice little pick haul from OKC so maybe you take advantage of that and we could afford to send a pick to Boston or even let them keep their own? Idk. If Stevens is talking a 1st for Jrue and acting like he’s a positive asset, hard to imagine him seeing KP and Hauser as mere salary dumps. Maybe tho?

On a side note:

Jon Horst as a chance to be GM of the year next season. Almost a full roster to build and healthy Giannis could make us a real dark horse in a weakened conference next year. If he pulls off a sexy move or hopefully 2, we can be on our way. If we’re a top 3 team in the east and top 7/8 overall next year, he’ll be in the discussion at least. It’s time to earn that paycheck Jonny Boy!

The Bucks finally are ready to escape Lopez and build a team that's built for the playoffs, but instead Bucks fans want to waste salary and assets on Porzingis. Sometimes I think we don't deserve to win.

We need wings or combo forwards. Everything else is a luxury we can't afford.

IMO getting off Kuzma's contract for a 1 year rental of KP is fine. We weren't including any picks in the scenario written above. I'd rather have as much cap space available next year than have Kuzma as a tradable asset after that.

Comparing Brook and Porzingas is kinda crazy imo. If that’s what you’re implying? Don’t really see that at all besides the height. The shear difference in mobility makes this comparison off base.

Giannis, KP, a ball handler and 2 3D wings is built for the playoffs.

I wonder if the comparison is along the lines of Brook isn't very useful in the Playoffs and KP isn't very available in the Playoffs.

Bucks number one priority: Get rid of Kuzma
Bucks number two pritoity: Get rid of Doc
Point guards: Journal confirmed rumor that the Bucks are interested in Schroder, Tyus Jones and Brogdon. How far we have fallen? KPJ is a better option.

Jones is too small and can't play any defense. Schroder is too inefficient and Brogdon never plays. KPJ is less risky than any of these guys, but he is still a risk.

Yeah that could be it, I guess? That kinda makes sense. I’d gladly take a year of KP trying to be available as much as possible over another year of Kuzma until he actually becomes an asset you can move for positive value. Luckily, dumping his deal on a team looking to shed and/or absorb salary is the best you’re getting and there’s some possibility there.

Comparing Brook and KP is pretty wild tho. 1 can move and 1 can’t. I think you can close the book on it right there. Lots of bigs in the NBA shoot 3s and block/alter shots, it doesn’t make them comparable.

East is suddenly WIDE open...Horst needs to be smart to open another Title window here.
