Seems as though Kamari McGee is likely the first transfer we’ll get. I’m fine with it since they need so many guards. He’ll do as a backup PG but I generally am not into short guards and 28% from 3, while it can improve, is also not what I was looking for.

And so begins feeling underwhelmed lol. Literally know nothing about the kid, but feel like we just signed Dj Augustine

McGee would be fine add. Definitely need the depth at PG. All-freshman team for Horizon and leading scorer for bad GB team. Hopefully can improve his 3P%.
I view needs this year as 1) wing scorer - starter quality 2) PG depth 3) Big man depth
So this hits a need

I’m going to guess they bring in 3 transfers and 1 overlooked new recruit or something like that.
If they also bring in a guy that can start at wing + a solid rotational big, I’m fine. McGee is probably like a Trevor Anderson guy with probably not a super high ceiling but can be backup PG and maybe more.
If McGee is somehow the best guy they get, I’ll be disappointed.

I've warmed up from "eh, it's fine as backup PG" to "I actually really like this."
Obviously the issue is being 6'0" and that probably won't change. I do think the shooting % from deep is going to improve. We basically got the younger version of Nelly Cummings, assuming the shooting improves as Cummings' did.
Of course, I am biased as a fan and optimist of the team.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers Thread
Backup PG right now. I could see him playing up to 20 mpg later in his career.
I'm not a major fan of short guards given defensive liability, getting shot off, etc. but there seems to be some reason to believe he will shoot much better going forward on top of being quick enough to create offense in other ways.
They'll get 1, maybe 2 starters or major rotation guys in the portal (I think). Probably a SG and a frontcourt rotation guy.

Best player on a bad green bay team. I have no idea what he'll be. His shooting will probably improve and his A/T rate will likely get better with less responsibility. Supposedly a good kid and a hard worker. Time will tell I guess
only a fan, only an opinion

Immediate rotation guy.
No Davidson, Bowman, and Johnny. Only Chuckie assured big minutes in the backcourt. He almost has to play based on the roster right now.

I could've called this 1000 miles away lol...
For the record (which actually I posted earlier), this is a solid add. Really liking some of the quotes about his defense.

Unless you lived in the valley while Dick was at GB, it is impossible to grasp how beloved that family is in NE Wisconsin. Deaner bestowing that name on the boy is just another indication of the connection.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers Thread
Eh, I could see UW being on the list. I know that Tony is his godfather, kinda hard to turn that down.
I think UVA returns their entire starting lineup, so the Badgers can promise him a starting spot if he and Wahl can coexist at forward with Crowl at C in bigger lineups, which I think they can.
Basile is also visiting.
I could see them taking BVP and Basile and playing bigger lineups. Both of those guys can shoot.

I think this is something worth getting excited for, although, his suitor list implies to me we have a limited shot at him. However, it also implies he is a 4 star guy to me.

Re: Wisconsin Badgers Thread
Hope he's great. The offer list is pretty funny, though. Glad the Badgers were able to lure him away from *checks notes* Cleveland State.
