If it is, I hate NBA media (Honestly, that statement is true regardless). A SWAP IS NOT A FIRST, so quit treating them the same when reporting deals.

Yup, this drives me nuts too.

Probably not nearly enough, but Ja seems one bad IG story away from getting another lengthy suspension. Maybe you could convince them of a "damaged goods" price.

We already have a wild card with a criminal record who's much cheaper. But if Haslam's reading the board, you piqued his interest.

Not even me wants to dump Dame that bad, way too much risk. Also, Ja is a terrible pairing for Giannis.

I know the pairing isn't great, just trying to think of distressed assets around the league we can potentially buy low on. There aren't many great options, so it might just be about getting as much talent around Giannis as possible.

TBH not even a big Ja fan, moreso just spit balling ideas outloud.

The standard going rate on outgoing picks has reached levels of stupidity the last few years. You’re not going to be able to reel this back in, continues to escalate.

Regardless of Bane being a good player and fitting a window, that price tag is so bad. Weltmann and senior advisor Hammond, a truly remarkable tenure down there. Wheels in the sky keep on turning ..

KPJ wishes he was on the same level lol.

Haslem needs his Deshaun Watson NBA move. 8-)

Did Bane just go for more than the fake Giannis trades I see out there?

Bane is the king of t-rexes. If Hammond was making the decision he'd be getting a pterodactyl.

Yeah, that “‘26 Phx 1st” looks like it would be Orlando giving up their part of a convoluted swap.

Memphis should now be able to swap their pick, if they are better than both PHX and WAS next year, for the worse pick. If either PHX or WAS are better than them next year, Memphis gets nothing.

Yes, yes he did. I've seen so many posts about how teams "learned from the Mikal Bridges trade and Bucks wouldn't get more than a few unprotected firsts."

Can we turn this into a 3 way deal?

That deal is the Jrue deal. 3 1sts, and 2 swaps, except one of those picks is guaranteed to be a mid-first.

Edit:
I suppose this could be 4 1sts, since orl still has #25 this year, the stepien rule isn’t triggered if they trade their own ‘26 1st. That would then be the Orlando ‘26 1st with the Phx swap rights.

But I would label that as 4 1sts and 2 swaps, so I guess I have no idea what this trade actually is right now.

I like the players better than the Jrue trade plus Jrue is much better than Bane imo

No doubt. KD should be considered a ‘day to day’ guy as early as next season.

Feels like a move to acquire the assets needed to get the next big fish whenever it's on the table. Like, could Memphis now re-route KCP, Anthony, and JJJ along with Phoenix's own pick swap back to get Durant?

If the Bucks could get Ja for cheap then they 100% should, you would be crazy not with where this team is right now, but I don't think the assets are there. Ja and his family being idiots repeated doesn't really compare to the more serious legal troubles others have had.

I have no doubt KD playing past 40 if he's physically capable of doing it, his game has aged well especially for somebody who snapped his Achilles

If Bane is worth 4 FRPs, how much would Giannis be worth….?

I wonder if Memphis tries to use the picks to go after Deni? I'm not sure why Portland would trade him but their were reports of Memphis targeting Deni.

Also, if KCP bounces back this turns into an even greater overreaction by ORL.
