Hollinger thinks Bender is a goner.

Milwaukee – Dragan Bender has played 15 minutes this season; one suspects his partial-guaranteed contract is a strong possibility to be waived next week and allow the Bucks to prowl for buyout and 10-day candidates. He’d count $745,109 against their books if waived Tuesday.

I doubt it, and he'll be claimed if he's waived.

I consume all of his content & think he does areally good job, but I have a feeling something went awry with Hollinger & the Bucks when he was in Memphis. Seems consistently negative & it's very odd to mention Bender's NBA stats & not talk about his growth/production with the Herd considering how much of a G-league junkie Hollinger is. He's consistently evaluating G-leaguers but acts like Bender's only racking up DNPCDS. Agree he missed here.

Pretty sure Bender will get his chance sometime this season either due to injury or due to resting the Lopez brothers.Has there been any report that he might get waived?

I think it's within the realm of possibility that we waive him but I doubt we waive him without having a replacement in play. Ideally we only have one of Wilson and Bender on the roster. If we can get something decent for Wilson (mb via CLE?) we should entertain that.

Hm, interesting. But do you know if John Hollinger has offered his take on this yet?

Henry Ellenson waived. Hard to think much of him as an NBA player & certainly understand not wanting to waste a 2-way spot on a guy lacking big league potential, but he’d be damn good for the Herd.

Haven't kept up with him but I do think he generally fits what we're looking for in bigs. Playmaking/shooting/rebounding is a skillset to work with in Budball.

FWIW I wouldn't call this a report that he "might get waved." It's simply open speculation based on his contractual situation relative tp PT.
