Daver said Nurse will be hired by Thursday. I’m anxiously awaiting to see if he truly is The Oracle.

The way this is dragging does increase my belief that it's Nurse and we're waiting on him while he's being courted by the Sixers and Suns as well. If either Atkinson or Griffin were their first choice I think it would be done by now.

My best guess is we hear something today or tomorrow.

The finalists were announced on Monday. If you assume the final interviews are only happening one a day then they would have wrapped up yesterday or today(depending on if an interview took place Monday). Once those are finished I feel like it would be the following day they'd make their choice

Atkinson is being courted by Phoenix too, no?

The last reporting from Woj did not have him among the four finalists there.

Well, at least with this all dragging out we don’t have to worry about Mark Jackson or Doc being real candidates lol, I’d lose my **** mind if that was the case. I can talk myself pretty easily into any of the 3 candidates we got so I’m cool waiting. Obviously hoping it’s the terrorist though.

Oh fair enough, either way I don't see a strong chance of Atkinson reuniting with KD in Phoenix given how things ended in Brooklyn.

A wise man once said "It takes years of training to become a pilot, but only a few minutes to steal a pilot's jacket and hat and do something terrible"... like playing your starters 48 minutes in a February game full-court pressing.

Maybe we can get KD to come join us since he also believes this about Nurse.

Chigurh is an awesome villain but he's kind of a simplified version of Judge Holden, demon:the devil kind of thing. "Whatever in creation exists without my knowledge exists without my consent" is one of those lines where I had to put the book away and lie down for a minute.

I have to read that again, (it is Blood Meridian right?) it's been a while.

McCarthy is just......I don't even know. The man can write.

So that article said "in the coming days" the Suns will interview Nurse. I would assume being such a coveted coach he will hear what all interested teams have to say first right? So in that case it seems we may not have a coach for another week, especially if he is our front runner.

My main concern with trying to land Nurse is how much some of these other stars/superstars like Embiid, Booker, Durant will try and court him as part of the interview process (vs. Giannis). If Nurse feels more welcomed by someone like Durant (even though he turned on other coaches he wanted in the past), he may see Phoenix as a better destination to implement his own coaching style.
