So is there anybody on here who thinks we can beat the Nets? I know they look great but surprised many think we don’t stand a chance.

The Nets do look great.

The Nets can be beaten by teams in the East. I also believe they can be beaten by themselves, especially if they go for the Harden trade.

Jrue for Kyrie and Giannis for KD is about as good you're going to get matchup wise. Bucks can beat anyone if Giannis plays well in playoffs

Midds has held up well in the past because of his length. Jrue a good option too but we need him for Kyrie.

I could start with DDV on Kyrie and Jrue on KD.
I would keep Khris' energy high in offense.

I would not mind leaving it to Kyrie to beat the Bucks. I would even funnel him to the basket where he would meet Giannis/Lopez. Giannis would not be burdened with following KD around, so he could help.

If DDV matchup on Kyrie goes extremely bad and Kyrie has an efficient night, I would probably switch Jrue to Kyrie and Khris to KD.

Finally, you could also switch the DDV to Kyrie and Jrue to KD with Jrue to Kyrie and Khris to KD matchups during the game to give them different looks and make it difficult for them.

Put Lopez on Deandre Jordan. Use this matchup to your benefit by dragging Jordan away from the basket and at the same time parking Lopez under the basket in defense since Deandre is not a threat from distance.

Yes he does. This is the BIGGEST disappointment in Giannis' development for me. He seems much less agile now and it is not even close. It is even apparent when he needs to guard someone in the 3 point line. Half of the players blow by Giannis who depends on his length to recover.

Yes. The agility is down. As his hulk-ness has increased, his flexibility, agility, and conditioning has suffered. For better or worse (worse, imo), the NBA has decided to punish players who utilize strength to overwhelm opponents and reward players who are knocked off course by a strong breeze on the perimeter.

It's time to stop gaining mass. It was probably time in 2018.

It's not a big deal if he simply plays like a damn big instead of Tall Russ. The Bucks have Middleton and Jrue to initiate the offense and do it a hell of a lot better than the iso-junk we've seen from Giannis the last couple seasons. Imagine an offense where we're running action to get Giannis the ball in the high post or in a mismatch on the block.

My point is the Bucks are a team that can matchup well against the Nets. But they need to be smart and ready to adapt

I dont doubt James Johnson is one of the toughest dudes in the league but he just committed an embarrassing flop

Luka's great so it's not like they are going to suck but I don't think this Mavs roster is all that great. They might be the team that was hurt the most by Giannis waiting to extend because they really could have used another piece this off-season. They better pray Porzingis gets healthy and stays healthy because between the picks they traded for him and his contract it limited the other avenues to build around Luka.

Of course. With KD looking healthy they have a ton of offensive firepower, but how good are they defensively?

Midds can do it but not for long period iirc,we even had Wes on guys like Lebron instead of midds and allowing us to force guys in a specific way...

As for KD, giannis did fine before i dont see why he cant guard him now as well unless we need more help on the paint

They have a deeper bench, and defensive anchors in DJ/Allen. Giannis free throw shooting in a tight playoff game down the stretch would also be a concern. Would be an interesting series.
