I actively avoid most trailers to movies I really want to see. I've been upset recently at seeing so much of bullet train and nope in trailers before movies. Like give me a 30 sec teaser so I can see the cast and the aesthetics. I don't need much to be interested in either of these examples.

Yeah, it just kinda happened. I was reading a BCS article that quoted some of the actors. Then they disclosed some information without a spoiler warning. In the end it didn't bother me. I like knowing it, 8-)

Now we'll see if it happens or not. I'll update my post with how the info disclosed.

You aren't alone. Many don't mind. Some seek out spoilers. Although, as you said, internet spoilers for upcoming shows aren't always accurate. I don't even watch previews for the next week for programs that show them. My GF always watches them.

I have a buddy that does this for every movie/show he really wants to see. Before he watches it, he goes out on Reddit and tries to piece together every plot point. I don't get it. I like to be surprised. I don't even read the episode preview blurbs before I hit play :)
That's wild by your buddy.

I go the exact opposite way. If I hear something is good I'll go out of my way to know as little as possible going in. The Old Man was a good recent example I didn't even know the general premise of the show and it was a nice 'oh this what we're doing here' moment about 15 mins into the first episode.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

That's the problem, for me at least. Trailers show way too much. Whether I go to a movie, or not go, isn't based on a trailer anyway so why bother watching them.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Yup that's a good example. I knew absolutely nothing about it when I started watching. There are times I've read the book first so knowing the plot is unavoidable. I haven't read the Old Man book .

Finally got around to seeing Thor: Love and Thunder. Yep, it doesn't come close to replicating the magic of Ragnarok (which is a pretty unfair standard to hold it to anyways), but man, did some reviews really exaggerate how bad it was.

Perfectly enjoyable Marvel movie. Thought Bale was incredible and probably created one of the best Marvel villains in recent memory. First half was a bit all over the place and some of the dialogue was cheesy as hell, but it's clear that Waititi is one of the few directors who embraces the absurdity/silliness of super-hero and comic book culture, and is just going to go out and do his own thing.

I trust Nope is pretty limited just based on Peele's previous movies but I still feel like ive seen too much. Interstellar is still the best for this. Only showed stuff from the first 30 min but it was compelling and looked interesting, even outside of the fact that it was a nolan movie.

I watched The Black Phone this week going into it completely blind. Definitely went to places I wasn't expecting. Liked it. After I finished I watched the trailer for the first time and it gives away the entire movie.

I don't read reviews either. Most of them simply tell the whole plot and then give it a grade . No thanks. I will look at the Rotten Tomatoes number but that's not always accurate as to whether I'll like a movie or not.

So why didn't the scarlet witch, once she got the multi verse girl, just pick a reality where Wanda had her kids and died. So she could just step in and not have to replace a Wanda?

That could've been what she planned to do, we didn't get to see her full plan unfold before America made Wanda snap out of it.

Finally got around to Reacher. Great first episode. Eight episode seasons suck.

Maybe that was her plan but in the movie I think Strange ask her 'so what happens to the Wanda of that world' so I think she was willing to sacrifice a Wanda for what she wanted

Yeah, I don't know. I think there was a lot more they could've done with that but I guess they left it up to the audiences to decide? Like why wouldn't she want a universe where Vision is alive? Or her brother and parents? Seems weird to just "settle" for the kids when she can literally have everything.

Yeah. It was a fun movie but I don’t think the main driving point of the plot actually made sense. Could maybe say the same about the most recent Spider-Man too.

I think the MCU TV shows have overall been better than the movies in this phase.

Watched Everything Everywhere All At Once last night. Good lord what a movie. I was just smiling pretty much from start to finish.

Its too bad tv shows aren’t real. Raylon could have handled that situation quickly.
