The Raptors will not trade their pick for Jennings.

We should go all the way to the deadline trying to unload Jax, and then at the last minute say "okay, okay, you can have Gooden instead. I guess." :D

Sounds like Brandon is getting his excuses ready for the next stretch of horrible play. This will be the story of his first 5 years in the league. A whole series of rationalizations by him and his fans to deny the simple fact that he's just not the star he fooled so many of us into thinking he was.

I think the deal is Ellis/Lee. Bucks don't want an injured Curry, they want to get help now and make the playoffs!

Bogut + Delfino or Gooden or Jackson for Curry, Lee, and Thompson would be outstanding. If you can pry Curry and Thompson away for Bogut, I would consider that a rousing success.

Haven't seen anyone mention yet that we play the Warriors on Friday in Oakland.

Right, just like you guys told us for two months in the spring of 2006 that BC would never, ever trade Charlie V. for injury prone midget TJ Ford.

Yeah, he's playing really poorly recently. Oh wait...

Herb loves to save on these travel costs for acquired players.

That was a different situation. Toronto isn't going for short-term returns now.

Just the rare "up" in an otherwise endless cascade of "downs". Considering what the all-star snub precipitated, I can only imagine how the trade rumors are going to affect his play.

Luckily for us, Bogut can't have a good game preventing him from being traded.

Except for the fact (ignored by many) that the ups have been more frequent than the downs this season. The "down" was just really down.

By my count, it's now 27 games (in two different stretches) of good play, and 15 games of EXTREMELY poor play, which is not excused, obviously.

Agreed. You might have to include a contract to make a Jennings trade work anyway. Jax won't stop a lot of teams from trading for Jennings because those two combined make about what Bogut makes. Not that much in NBA terms. And Jax expires in time for a Jennings extension. No reason to include Jax in a Bogut trade, though.

It's actually very similar. It's Toronto parting with youth in some form for youth at PG.

Unfortunately our Front Office isn't smart enough to realize the deadline is Thursday.
