If all of their guys play, they are still pretty stacked at the big spots for the Olympics.

C -Tristan Thompson / Birch / Boucher
PF - Olynyk / B. Clarke / Lyles

Nice collection of big options for international ball, would love Powell there too of course.

Lillard/Curry are the best fit with Giannis. I don't think AD fits well, D would be great but they occupy too much similar space on O.

For the games/minutes talk. The point I believe from the players was that the minutes wouldn't matter because the starters or stars are still going to play as many as they do now. Clearly they can handle 35ish now, so the minutes reduction would simply eliminate bench guys minutes and the wear and tear on the main players would be the same.
Resident Lillard truther since 2015.

I've seen so many people say the Heat would be a great destination for Giannis. I'd find it kind of disgusting if he did that, because Butler/Giannis/Bam is not a functional frontcourt in terms of spacing and Butler is just getting old. At that point he'd be better off just sticking with the Bucks.

Giannis was on a 60 win team last year and possibly a 70 win team this year. If he bolts because he doesn’t win it (and his free throws could be a reason) that’s no better than durant leaving okc

Not comparable at all in my opinion.

Haven't given the original suggestion much thought but curious to hear why they're wholly incomparable?

Durant left because he wanted to win a championship and leaving OKC was the best way to do that. Giannis doesn't have to play next to a Westbrook. Giannis is surrounded by a great supporting cast that fits with him perfectly on and off the court. If Giannis leaves (which is entirely within his rights), it won't be because of basketball reasons.

Because Durant went TO the 73 win team.

Happy Zion Day everyone. (If he's still playing!)

Cherish every moment he's on the Court.

Yep and because he joined the team that beat him.The problem most people have isn't that he left okc, it's where he went.

Did you really just post a lineup with the starting 2 guard being JR Smith?

Our actual management posted a lineup with the starting 2 guard being Tony Snell.

He went to what he considered the best team to win a championship with. If giannis goes to gs with a healthy curry, Thompson, green, and a number 1 pick he’s leaving a great team to go to a team that he thinks gives him the best chance. Just like durant

If we don't win it all this year Giannis cannot simply turn around and say "I'm leaving because I can't win with this team". That would be a lie because the team definitely put him in a position to win. In fact if we don't win, it would be be in large part because of him as well, and the things he can and should improve on, like making his free throws and not having pube games everytime he has to skip a nap. Ok the Bucks never gave him a second superstar, but compared to other contenders the team is better in pretty much every other way apart from that, so it kinda evens out.

Giannis is having a legit chance to a ring in MKE, nobody can argue otherwise. Probably better than Durant's chance in OKC.

Durant's situation was so unique that I certainly don't consider this an apples-to-apples comparison, but what if Giannis goes to a 50-win Miami team that beat him in the ECF?

I think Lebron has some ridiculous pre game and post game/recovery routine that **** up the best part of his day and night if he has to dress and play even one minute, that's why he's saying this.

Yeah I think he's coming from the employee side of things. He just wants the whole day off so he doesn't have to work or prepare for the game.

or that his per-game stats don't suffer

Just had some Fred VanVleet PTSD watching the end of this Raptors/Sixers game.

I'm wondering if he's going to get a max contract from someone.

6ers might lose Richardson for a stretch here. Very much want to see them in the 6th or 7th seed. 7th probably out of the question.

I knew FVV would be a problem, always got those vibes from him, even when he was down in the pecking order some years back. Dude is going to get paid.
