I mean, I hope teams try to defend everything straight up. More likely, they will try to hedge and recover or switch or trap on the screen while sending rotational help to the rim to try and draw a charge. They’ll hope the can cover back to open shooters via rotations. They’ll dare Lopez and the other non-Midds player to hit open threes.

Teams were already willing to let anyone besides Midds have open shots for the Bucks to send help to Giannis’ man. And teams were already willing to let anyone have open looks to help on Dame for the Blazers.

It’ll just be the same thing of sending bodies at both of them, trying to stay home on Midds if possible, and then praying anyone else is missing from deep.

A worse option is Giannis in the paint or Khris open anywhere.

Dame's presence means that teams aren't going to be able to throw doubles at anyone (theoretically). There's going to be too much space and too many options for the Bucks.

He's gonna absolutely feast off open looks and against 2nd units when we stagger him with the bench lineups.

Exactly. In order to get Khris his FGAs up, we need to let him lead the 2nd unit for some minutes.

At some point mid season I would try starting

Dame
AJ Green
Khris
Giannis
Portis

And while keep Khris on court (2nd squad)

Payne
Pat
Khris
Jae
Brook

In my Guru opinion this needs to be tested.

Khris can't play 48 minutes so while you rest him, you move Pat to SF and try Beauchamp/Beasley/Rookie at the SG position.
I think staggering minutes for both Khris and Brook with the 2nd squad will make em both super effective and we win it all.

Maybe if his name was Denise instead of Dennis.

I know where u coming from BUT dude get over it. We just got eliminated by a team full of non guaranteed level players and Jimmy. Find a specialist at something and use them accordingly

You have dame. I see no reason to ever pair him and Green.

I like Pat but he's pretty stiff tbh and on offense he's streaky and 1 dimentional. If Marjon made any leap this off season, he should get 1st crack at starting (assuming Beasely doesn't start the year scorching hot) Pat's minutes might be more at backup 3 than as a rotational 2... idk tho it's just my feel -- he's not dynamic and a 2 needs some of that

I love Dame paired with Green, as long as the other wing is a defender.

Andre said he's been working most closely with the Shot Doctor. Figured that would be the case, but great to hear. Just get that thing to passable and watch out.

I hope the Bucks end up buying a NOAH at some point, if they even can. It would be a great tool to help shooters if they're in a funk.

If Marjon really beat both Giannis and Dame one-on-one, he should just retire from the game right now. Can't do any more.

My wife is obsessed with Words With Friends. I had never played and years ago, I agreed to play against her. I won. I haven't played again because I want to lord my undefeated record over my wife for the rest of our lives. Marjon should follow my lead.

Yeah if this Marjon hype is real and he actually won 2 of 3 one on one tournaments we may have a player here and that would be awesome

I don't understand why some are so down on Marjon to begin with, year 2 I think its fair to expect a contributor and if Marjon is who we think he is that's exactly who we need.

FWIW, it looks like the Raptors have a NOAH machine, so hopefully Griff is pushing us to get one.

I mean, I thought Marjon showed up in Vegas noticeably more explosive, stronger, and more comfortable on-ball. I guess a lot of people chalked it up to "it's just Summer League", but the eye test stuff was night & day from where he was at this time last year.

Marjon would be the idea candidate to start given his size/wingspan, low usage, and hopefully high 30’s % 3 point shooting. That would also keep us one of the biggest teams in the league.
