Greek food is awesome but it's a bit of an acquired taste, you gotta develop the taste buds for it, especially the Turkish influence of it which most westerners find it too rich.
Turks have something that we never had: an empire and a palace with imperial cooks who were using the most expensive materials, finetuning stuff and writing cook books for centuries. Greece on the other hand was a poor country in most of recent history and people developed a knack for creating interesting tastes by making the best out of humble locally produced ingredients, and recepies were passed down by word of mouth. The end result is never going to be culinary science like the French or the Chinese have, but it's still an amazing fusion. Greece is one of few places on earth where food is so super important that people commonly talk about it all the time and even plan holidays and gatherings based on it and even do excursions specifically to places that offer favourite dishes. it's a good place for foodies.

The cooks and the Builders where the 2 single categories of civilians that Mohamed the 2nd pardoned and embraced in the newly formed Ottoman Empire. Anywayz, this is not the place for such kind of debate.

I hope you realize that's a fake account.

Eh, hold yourself to the same standard. To say that the Ottomans had no knowledge of food or architecture before the conquering of Constantinople and the fall of the Byzantine Empire is simply false.
But you're right, that's a discussion for another time.

It's from Kevin Durant's verified YouTube account. It is very much real.

People make fake accounts that look identical to the creator of the videos and then make comments for attention on YouTube all the time. If KD actually made a comment on his video there would be a blue box behind his name, or a check mark next to his name on mobile devices to verify it's actually him. But KD would never make a comment like that, makes him sound like a complete idiot.

Are you sure about that? I just saw a variety of news sources quoting from it verbatim.
