They’re great and fill a need. Excellent for working out, podcasts, casual music. Perfect to pop in your pocket and have headphones on you at all times. Unless your girlfriend is an absolute audiophile she’ll love them.

As the guy **** on Apple's AirPod Max whatevers a few pages ago, I'll actually echo that the AirPods are a solid choice. Agreed that they'll leave something to be desired for an audiophile, but I also don't think they're bad at all (which is a solid backhanded compliment, mind you). I will say that I would recommend the Jabra Elite's over the base AirPods - especially since the AirPods do not fit snugly in my ears whatsoever - but if that isn't an issue for you (her), then I certainly can understand wanting to stay in the Apple ecosystem. And if you step up to the AirPod pros, it negates the issue.

None of the above have incredible audio, but it's passable for what it is. They're super convenient, have solid battery life, and are especially great to work out with.

Agreed with everyone else on the Airpod Pros. I have a pair for working out and they are great. One issue I had with them though is the tips were a bit slippery, but you can find some foam tips (ear plug material) and those work great and still keep the same level of noise cancelling.

Did anyone try out Immortals Fenyx Rising? Thinking of what to play after Endless Delve, and I've seen from some reviewers/voices that I trust that it's much better than its horrible name suggests and that if you're not ready to dive into Cyberpunk in its current state, this is what to check out.

It was never remotely on my radar. Thought it would be some mediocre game for kids, but sounds like not really.

You have a PS5, right? Cyberpunk looks, plays, and feels awesome on it. The only negative are hard crashes kinda regularly, like once every couple hours or so. It's not a huge deal at all because of frequent autosaves and how quickly you get back into the game.

As for Fenyx Rising, it looks like a game I'd like, but seems like it would get old kinda quickly. If you haven't picked up Genshin Impact, I'd suggest trying that out first. Ton to do, graphically wonderful, Zelda-esqu, and free.

Finish Hades? Unless you did that on Switch, as I only have your Steam for frame of reference.

I do have a PS5. I don't know what goes into people using the same hardware having different experiences, but a friend of mine said it crashes very regularly and there's still an incredible amount of bugs that break immersion. He started over at one point because it appeared he had basically just **** his game up.

That said, definitely appreciate the feedback that it's not all doom and gloom. I still think I wait for some heavy patching, though.

I did play Genshin Impact about 20h on PC. Good call, maybe I'll give that one another go on PS5.

I did not. I only have it on Steam, and I haven't touched it in weeks. I know I should go back and if I put time into it I'm sure I could get back into it, but as much as I enjoyed my 8 hours or whatever, I don't feel excited about it.

Think I’ve settled on the original airpods. Dumb question - does the wireless charging case have the ability to be charged with a cable or do you NEED to charge wirelessly?

I think this is what I needed, DB. Apparently I did play on PS4 at some point, as upon login I was dropped into a game already done with the first two free pulls. I wish I could start over, as small as it is, because there is so much I don't remember. But I guess I already have Chongyun and he's awesome so far.

The game is also beautiful and loads quite speedily on PS5. Not "next gen", but definitely crisp and snappy.

Good to hear. Once I got done with Demon's Souls I started bouncing around to a bunch of games every other day or so. Genshin Impact, Dauntless, Borderlands 3, 13 Sentinels, Cyberpunk, and tonight I'm doing some NG+ with Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. Genshin is definitely one I'm gonna return to and I'm sure I'll come back and complete Cyberpunk. It's kinda too easy.

I’m playing some COD and trying to stick with The Outer Worlds. Looking for something else but I’m not sure what.

I've been playing Warzone for the last 9 months with a group of friends and I don't see us slowing down at all. I've also been trying to get Cold War a chance...it's grown on me but it's still a shell of what MW was.

I'm also looking for recommendations for PS5 games. Best Buy had a buy 2 next gen games get one free so I'm having my mother-in-law get me AC: Valhalla, NBA 2k, and then a different game for it, but wasn't sure what that 3rd game should be. Immortals Fenyx Rising looked cool, and I wanted Spiderman but that wasn't an option. Anyone having fun with a particular PS5 game let me know.

I’ve been having fun playing FIFA 21 co-op seasons with my brother on PS5. The next gen upgrade was released last week and they brought in a new camera angle which is great.

I played a ton of Warzone earlier in the year but then stopped cold turkey. Actually played a few Warzone matches this weekend and after being away for a while, the game feels so generic and lacking in personality.

AC Valhalla will keep you busy, I’m thinking it will take me 75-100 hours to complete. Beautiful game on my LG OLED.

If I finish AssCreed of get sick of it, I’m planning on moving on to Cyberpunk.

I'm someone who used to be pretty damn good at Call of Duty (OG pub-stomper here) from like 2007-2014, but I played about 4 games of Warzone, and I'm god awful at it. My first impressions are that it's pretty much the furthest thing from what CoD used to be. Wondering if other people feel the same. Or maybe it's just that I'm in my 30's and I can't keep up anymore when it seems like all these kids are hopped up on Mt. Dew and Adderall...

Cruising through P5R (~35 hours in) and Kasumi is perfectly fine, but IDGAF, Makoto is still the best.

So about 15 hours into FF7 Remake, and just got past the Wall Market/Don Corneo chapter. Somehow it's both not as bad as I thought it'd be.....but still really bad.

Spoiler:
They took some really big swings there, which I appreciated. A lot of it 75% worked for me, though I there are a bunch of "yeah, but" moments. They were trying to pivot from a blatantly bigoted treatment to something celebratory, and I think they mostly succeeded in that, but it's clumsy (the dance number mini-game is particularly unfun to play), rushed, and there is a bunch of tonal whiplash. I'm curious about what worked/didn't work for you.

Spoiler:
FWIW, I don't mean bad as in that I thought there was anything offensive about it. Hell if anything, I think the game developers made it a point to fix a lot of the outdated stereotypes throughout the story thus far. I mean bad as in that I was sitting at home by myself playing it in my living room, and I was still visibly cringing throughout the entire thing. The whole weird DDR sequence, the fact that every one of the young girls seems really bubbly and way-too-ok with being prostitutes. The cross-dressing was probably the most tame part of it all.

I get that they're walking a fine line with staying as close to the source material as possible without angering the nostalgia fans, but this seems like one of the story aspects they really could have either changed for the better or just left out entirely. It doesn't really work now, and I'd argue that it didn't work back in 1997 either....
