Ended up getting into War of the Worlds as they try to hype their new season. Great how a sci-fi show with very little SFX can outdo other TV/Movies that just ejaculate CGI onto the screen.

Speaking of which, has anyone watched Foundation? I read the first book and have no clue how you get that to translate to TV.

GREAT show. His calm anger facial expressions are amazing, can just feel the rage. Then it's great when it overflows and he goes nuts.

I liked the first season of Foundation quite a bit. It's slow-moving, world-building science fiction, so it's not going to be for everyone. Admittedly jumps all over the place which is somewhat forgivable considering the source material is spread out over the course of several books and thousands of years. Acting is really good though, and they end the season with a pretty big twist that left me excited to see where they're gonna take the series.

I randomly saw some clip on facebook... it was super long, like most of an episode, and it took me at least as long to figure out what show it was from. Kind of reminded me of Falling Down, in that lane at least.

It's a little more like Louie if he was a hitman. But somehow I haven't seen Falling Down so could be that also.

Fantastic show. Kinda sad the series is done but they went out on a high note for sure.

Spoiler:
That being said, loved mall cop Jerry Gergich and Gene teaching himself the history of Huskers football to be able to small talk with him effectively. Gene did his last Jimmy con and said goodbye to Saul when he hung up the shirt/tie on the rack. Not significant, also not insignificant.

Spoiler:
i agree on all of that. They couldve made it 15 minutes instead of 45 though.

Seems like a waste of precious little airtime left.

Spoiler:
Yeah, for sure. Gilligan just couldn't help himself-- he needed the main character of the show to tie up his past loose ends in a super creative way. In the Gene timeline, Jimmy and Saul are dead. There is still hope for a Kim reunion in this timeline, soooo many Omaha references throughout their relationship and that's where Kim is from, judging by the flashback scene with she and her mom shoplifting.

And we know, at least, that we dip back into the BB timeline as Cranston and Paul are credited. Gilligan won't screw us, he's too good.

I don't think it's a spoiler to say that oftentimes Gilligan's "weaker" episodes have some plot point, piece of dialog, or action that pays off in a big way later on.

Spoiler:
Gene misses the game episode. Solid. Anytime I get a full hour of Odenkirk I’m happy. Dudes a real one.

Going for the thread turkey.

Spoiler:
I enjoyed the end. Left it wide open. Unresolved. Like life.

However, I agree that it never got to the same level of action from the mid first episode. So yeah, pacing was a problem. It’s the kind of show I want to watch with my 80 year old dad and see what he thinks. Bridge’s character’s view on manipulation was scary and fascinating.

I hope next season has more flashbacks. Don’t want to spoil it for those who haven’t seen it, but I was shocked when the first Mikey flashback happened. One of my favorite actors in the game right now.

Question about the last episode:
Spoiler:
Was Mikey borrowing money from Uncle and then just putting the cash into the cans?

Just watched the Blonde trailer (Marilyn Monroe biopic) and it's equally stunning how much Ana de Armas looks like Monroe and how futile she's been in masking her accent.

Kind of a bummer because she's a good actress and I could see this really **** her up.

Spoiler:
I've been noodling on that one. His uncle has to be involved because as Carmen said earlier, the KLM electric amounts add up to what is owed to him. But were they laundering? Evading taxes? I don't know. My guess is that it won't be as simple as using the money to create a new restaurant and then the show moves on. The major ingredient and successes of the show for me are that it's not easy which creates tension and anxiety that is palpable.

Harley Quinn's back with three episodes. All great. Bane is just the best.
