The Bucks owners can essentially toss the cheap Billionaire title by extending Donte as well. However, it is clear they have an agreement with Bobby Portis to make him paid on Bird rights, likely after this season. A long term roster of:

Jrue
Allen
Middleton
Giannis
Lopez

Portis
DDV

Would be pretty nuts...

Pat is so close to all the people in the organization who have a say in things I think the odds of him extending for more money are pretty high. I saw him and Peter Fegin hanging out at the Badger game Saturday, hes best friends with Giannis, and he’s been involved in the Lasry charities all summer. He’s really carved out that perfect niche as a role player.

Pat is easily the most ‘Milwaukee’ player we have.

He just looks like some guy you’d see walking around town lol.

I'm pretty surprised Grayson would go for a deal like that rather then bet on himself this year playing next to Giannis. That seems like a decent chance of being a steal.

Locking up Grayson at $10 million makes it more feasible to keep a guy like Donte if the price is right.

I don't know if I see the Bucks paying him more than Allen though.

Rather it seems like Grayson is now the presumptive starting SG and Divicenzo can choose to commit to a 6th man role if he'd rather take the bird in hand with the champs vs see if he can stay healthy and cash out elsewhere this offseason.

It’s a good deal for him. Cam Payne only got $6M/yr after breakout season for him so even a breakout season with the Bucks won’t necessarily mean higher pay day than $10M for sure for him

Great deal for Allen. Is that two years in addition to this one or does it start now?

I like that it's just a 2-year extension. Forget the per-year amount, in this day and age it's about having roster flexibility.

2 part question if DDV doesnt get hurt IYO do they still trade for allen.I ask cause its been out there that the bucks were trying to upgrade the SG position for over a year now.
2. If allen is worth 2/20 whats the board take on how much DDV is worth.I dont think hes gone but what do you give someone whose hurt alot

Locking Grayson in over the next three years seems good to me. That $20M over 2 years as the presumptive starter looks a lot better than Shamet's $43M over 4 years to be a backup.

This seems ok. As with Donte, worried about his health, but the length and dollar amount are fine. If we can extend Donte, we should be able to get all the guard stuff we need from the two of them, Jrue, and cheap vets.

Writing on the wall seems to be that WD is gone, but I'm still holding out for our owners to pony up in the next 30 minutes.

I like it for a Grayson. But losing Donte long term would suck, was really digging Jrue/Donte as a defensive back court.

That's a nice deal on Grayson...Of course Hollinger doesn't like it since his BORD system has Allen for 3 for 16 which is absolutely ridiculous, but not quite as ridiculous as DDV for 4 for 100 or whatever

Hard to value Donte right now with the injuries. May be best to play the RFA angle and see where this season goes. We have a lot less off season volatility now that Grayson is locked up.

The tax line for 2022-23 is projected to be 145 mil, which is just the amount of money already owed to Jrue/Allen/Midds/Giannis/Brook/Hill and Thanasis (opt in).

What would you pay him right now? His agent is probably eyeing up that 4/$65 million that Huerter just signed. Honestly a tough call on Donte. They probably want to see him in action again which is understandable to me.

I don't think you can give him Huerter money while he is injured and it is his 2nd bad injury on the rookie contract.
