This. Season 3 felt like a cringe soap opera just with better special effects. It went off the rails so fast.

Agreed. It had some good moments, but felt like it lost its way a bit - not sure if it was some of the storylines, or just the fact that those story lines seemed to spread things a little thinner. Probably a bit of both.

If it's any consolation it's still very awesome all the way through the end of season 2.

The Animal Kingdom movie is suppose to be pretty good too. I have never gotten around to watching that one.

I watched it after I watched the series. Had a hard time getting into it with different actors. Probably would have enjoyed it more had I watched it first.

I didn't hate S3 of FAM as much as some but it's definitely subpar compared to the first two.

Yea just watch the show. It's based on the characters from the movie but other than that they aren't linked at all.

I personally think that the Christmas episode is one of the most engaging pieces of television I have ever watched. You’ll have to let us know what you think. Definitely agree that the season started off slow, though.
