The Heat don't have a coaching issue, but coaches always get blamed when a team disappoints. Sometimes it's deserved. Not in this case though.

Fans are fanatical. What's Spoeslstra supposed to do with that group? He hasn't forgotten how to coach overnight.

So they have turned on Spoelstra and Bam? I would gladly take both.

The Heat will no doubt make some major roster changes, but I doubt they'd part with Spoelstra. Here's Heat writer Ira Winderman on the coach:

Q: It now seems certain that the Heat will finish with the worst record of Erik Spoelstra’s career. Should a replacement coach be found to lead the rebuild? – Wayne, Miami.

A: I remain of the belief that not only does Erik Spoelstra enjoy the job, but he relishes challenges, which are what will come next. For those who believe Erik Spoelstra to be less than fully engaged, go to a game and watch him on the sideline. Then watch him push through his postgame interviews. This is not someone mailing it in. He has remained animated, engaged and passionate. And, currently, hurting.

The Pacers end of game runs are truly amazing. They always seem to claw back in and scored 14 points in the final minute vs Dallas to win last night. Dallas blew it with tons of turnovers and missed FTs, but Indiana can turn on the intensity late in a way I haven't seen lately. They make me butthole clench when we have a less than 20 point lead with 2 minutes left.

The Spurs trying to tank probably thought the same exact thing.

MAMU MENTALITY

"I feel like I'm in a dream," he said in the postgame table session. "I manifested and prayed for it. I just waited for this day. I really had an out of body experience for a little bit there. I was like, 'Is this really happening?'"

Word for word, that is what posting feels like when the journey from the domepiece to the keyboard is one and the same. The post becomes you and you become the post.

Spiritual.

Obviously taking out the fact that it's bad for the Bucks I do think this is great for AJ's career to get these NBA reps that he was never going to get here. It's why the pick was so weird in the first place.

$6.1b is crazy money. Makes you wonder what a team like the Knicks, Lakers or Bulls could fetch.

You say that as if Boston isn't a big market or one of the corner post franchises and one comming off a championship

I have to be honest, $6.1 billion is simply too rich for my blood. I'm not sure I could afford them at half that price.

Pacers only 3 behind the Knicks
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I watched both of those pacers games, and they just kind of suck for three quarters, and then continue to suck in the fourth but somehow get super lucky and figure it out. Yesterday against Brooklyn, these Nets players just decided to keep trying to take it in soft on Myles Turner and he sent them packing four or five times. They’re passing on open Js to take contested shots at the basket, and then the Pacers hit a couple threes. It wasn’t a thing of beauty, the Pacers really didn’t look good at any time during either game. But they eke out just enough to get across the finish line.

I said it yesterday, I've never seen a team be able to turn it on the final 3-4 minutes like them. They hit all their tough shots, they play swarming defense, and get some luck with the ball and the refs. It's why a 7 game series with them would scare me...

If you’re a Laker fan who just paid huge dollars to take your kids, you didn’t get to see LeBron (who will play the next game against the Bulls) nor Doncic w/“sprained ankle management” nor Dame. There otherwise would have been an epic four superstar game on tap.

It just did not used to be this way.

These teams are trying to win a championship.

The NBA could easily shorten the regular season and agree to more fan-friendly TV deals, but they (both owners and players) are more concerned with the bottom line than with the fan experience.

Tyler Herro is just white Jamal Crawford and it's funny how people still hold a candle for him and act like he's this awesome young franchise building block. Miami was going nowhere with this core sans Jimmy anyways, but if Bam's gonna also turn into a pumpkin, then that franchise is screwed beyond belief.
