I rarely preorder anything but since this is a digital code for a game I'm 100% going to be all over, saving $10 was a no brainer.
FromSoft games are probably the only games everyone can 100% agree that preorders are acceptable. Unless you're Polygon and Sekiro is too hard for you.

Ugh, I broke down and bought Dying Light 2. I hit a cap in Destiny 2 and spent way too much time with Fire Emblem in January so I needed something new. Let's just not speak of the indie game backlog I'm currently sitting on.

Let the February/March game apocalypse begin.

Hey, I’ve been pretty tempted by Dying Light 2 and Elden Ring as well recently! I’ve managed not to slip up, because God of War is so engrossing. It might be my game of the year and it’s only January.

I might break down and grab The King of Fighters XV in two weeks since I’ve gone in deep on fighting games the last few months. If not, I’m sure I’ll splurge on something soon :D

Well, I'm addicted to Teamfight Tactics again. Slowly but surely learning the strats with team comps and the good items to put on the right units. Finally got up to Gold III.

Yep. I’ve posted about this one many times in this thread. Accidentally paid extra for early access when I’m out of the country anyways but looking forward to playing this when I get home.

Just got a 77 inch LG OLED TV. The new Xbox looks great in HDR, Online streaming look awesome. Looks so real. The best and I would recommend to everyone.

I haven't gotten there yet, but holy **** that is exciting!

Came to post that I was excited for a Front Mission remake (though I wish it was with next-Gen graphics instead of on Switch). That's a little dulled now knowing that Chrono Cross and FFT are being remade lol.

EDIT: *Remaster. Slightly less exciting. The FF remasters are just ok IMO, which is what I'm guessing these will be like. BUT, right now it's hard to play Chrono Cross or FFT at all. So that's a win.

FF8 is my favorite of the classic FF games so that disappoints me. But I'd love to play Tactics again. Then again, I was very disappointed by the FF7 remake so maybe it's a blessing.

That was my favorite Nintendo Direct in a long time for my personal tastes. Strikers, Switch Sports, and the Mario Kart expansion built into the expansion pak that I already paid for? Sweet.

Remaster does dull my happiness over FF Tactics. That screams graphical update and I didn't play that game for the graphics. Also, I didn't love War of the Lions, the version likely to receive the update. Maybe it was just because I'd played the original PS game dozens of times, but I hated literally every update/change they made.

Playing Demon's Souls. I've since made builds that were cheesy as hell and optimized to the hilt, but tonight I decided to go back to my very first, a quality build that didn't do much in the way of optimization because I didn't really know what I'm doing. It's not great for NG+ and it looks like I abandoned it right at the Manhunter boss fight. I managed to finish them off in my second try, but I've been playing the Depraved Chasm for the last hour and have died 20 times.

I do totally get being disappointed in the remake - not trying to convince you otherwise. I will say, though, that I was able to enjoy it quite a bit approaching it as a new experience/expansion of the narrative, as opposed to a replacement with updated graphics. The combat system really was surprisingly good IMO, though turn based always has a spot in my heart.

I am not quite the diehard you are for FFT, so I don't notice or know the differences between the OG and WOTL. I'd love to play it on Switch, though - any of them. Or PS5. Or PC. Like you say, I don't even need better graphics - just port the **** game, man.

Edit: Ok, a better camera and/or control for modern day would be nice. That's been my biggest issue trying to play it on an emulator.

Alright, this looks much better than I expected for a PSX remaster. Will probably get it day 1 - one of my childhood favorites.

Can we get a Star Ocean: Second Story remake now? Thanks.

Maybe it's odd, but I didn't have a huge problem with any of the gameplay changes they made to FFT. I liked it just fine how they had it, but I could live with it.

But literally every character and their dialogue was changed. Their names were changed, how they spoke was changed. I know the original had localization issues that were kinda funny, but they were minor. WOTL re-wrote the whole **** game and it sucked.
