It's like people forget not only is there a cap, but Milwaukee is located in Wisconsin

My thoughts exactly. And we have players who want to be here, some who took less money to be here and the fans are trying to figure out ways to trade them away for (at best) lateral skill levels. I don't understand it all.

Agreed. Also other teams wanted our guys. We re-signed our 2nd and 3rd best dudes. If we can stay healthy and the desire is still there, we'll be in the mix. Still need some sort of shake up at the PG position. Don't want Jrue handling the ball and being the prime decision maker.

I agree 100%. I doubt both health and hunger are there. Even this forum hunger imo has reduced. The mentality is well we won one, so we can repeat 3 years after being successful. It's a lazy approach imo and the foundations of this approach are the fear of changing something that worked once (forgetting 2 years in row that didn't work) and the lack of evaluating flaws and adjust accordingly (lack of adjustment - stubborness).

I totally agree that a Jrue trade is needed and though our D can take a step back, our playmaking and scoring can actually have a bigger impact, so the outcome imo is more likely to be a positive.

PS If ppl here wanna put asterisks on our 2 years in row of falling short is US NOT STAYING HEALTHY... well these ppl should put alot of asterisks to our ring year cause of many of our opponents got hurt.

It’s almost like winning championships is very difficult…you need to be really good, really lucky, and healthy.

Hard to be mad about the off-season we had given our cap situation. These guys all want to be here and Giannis likes them and they won a chip together, easy to see why were running it back.

We need health, Crowder to be Crowder, Giannis to not regress and better coaching and we can win again.

There’s gotta be some trades on the horizon, right now it looks like 26 or 27 teams will just run it back which just wouldn’t make sense.

Running back the oldest team in the League ... 9 players average age 30.2 ....

If I wanted to see a slow mo team I would just watch the Euroleague.

I just cancelled my NBA League Pass Subscription ... I am not watching those grandpas playing.

I will just watch the daily highlights and return at post season.

Brother I think you’re making your life more negative by being so invested. A break sometimes is good for everyone. You’re always welcome to come back.

You guys need to explain to me the Dillon Brooks thing.

His TS last year was 49% and he’s a career 41% shooter. He doesn’t have three point range. Turns 28 in January.

I get the defense thing, but that’s offset by the Artest/Rodman crazy.

And he got $80 million.

Is Artest/Rodman crazy that bad?

Houston threw money at anyone that would listen.

If you’re a young growing team, then yes, adding a powder keg guy is a bad idea.

My analysis on contracts is could the guy be dealt one second after he signed the deal for at least neutral value. For the Dillon Brooks contract, I’d say no. All 29 teams would ask for assets to take that thing on.

He created a recognizable brand for himself and he got paid for it. He also did this self promotion at the expense of his team.
Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

Their free agency strategy seemed driven by an ulterior motive. I feel like they aren't concerned with their young players. I also think I read somewhere they're trying to create a buzz with the signings for other (financial short term) reasons.

I don't get it. He's fresh off one of the more humiliating scenes in recent playoff history and his old team was so done with him they leaked there was no way they'd bring him back before the off-season started.

From a distance, it looks like the year that the Lakers signed Mozgov and Deng at the start of free agency -- a bad young team with a bunch of money to spend and no plan for how to spend it. The Rockets must have been pretty sure that Lopez wouldn't turn them down if their only alternative was Dillon Brooks.

I would have offered Lopez, Grant Williams, Donte and about 15 other guys that $80 million. And while those would have been bad contracts, they would have been a better outcome.

It’s **** stupid, there’s no explaining it lol. The dude over the last two postseasons combined:

42.6% TS
5.4 PER
-0.051 WS/48
-5.6 BPM

All while talking trash, looking like a clown, and creating a huge distraction for his team in seasons that they had title aspirations.

That’s the guy Houston just paid $80 mil to, to supposedly be a quality vet presence with playoff experience for a team full of kids.
