If that’s an Achilles for Dame I think it may force your hand to trade Giannis and start over.

So what teams would if they won the lottery would possibly trade Cooper for Giannis?

Philly/Spurs/Mavs/Bulls/Kings

Only possible scenario that isn't hell is Giannis is cool coming back and doing something radical with a new coach. Let him rack up stats as a point center with a ton of feisty young guys who are either athletes or can shoot. low expectations while we wait a year to get an expiring dame and have some draft picks to trade.

Nah, if Dame is really done for the year it makes sense for both sides to move on.

but what does move on mean? like maybe we get Flagg but outside of that what's the best case scenario? I really don't see me watching this team if we get an all star and 5 late first round picks

Who has more trade value at this point? Kuz or Midds $33m expiring?

If Giannis legitimately comes to the team for a trade (I have my doubts he would do that) then you make it work and accommodate him, but I'm not just kicking him out if he's not asking for it. Some of you are doing what the media does and putting words in Giannis mouth before he's even had a chance to speak for himself. If it happens, then so be it, but I'm not going to wish for it anytime soon.

Because the Bucks can't put a competitive team around Giannis to get past the second round without Dame(and being on the payroll).

I've cheered for the Bucks for 30 plus years and will continue to be a Bucks fan. I also Love Giannis and his story. I want him to play to get another ring. That cannot happen in MLW given the current CBA.

I still don't think it's fully hit me how truly cooked we are now. Like it's probably over over. I'm still not trading Giannis if he doesn't ask for it though.

But why would that be better from the Bucks side. Giannis as a six seed for two more years is probably better than what we get back.

Dame is in the running for worst contract in the league now. His # is gargantuan, he has 2 yrs left, will be out for 1, & the 2nd he'll be cooked for. Should have gotten out of Dame biz sooner. Now we can't get anything back & have a huge amount of our cap sunk into him.

I trust there's going to be no whining now about suggestions to trade Giannis. Our situation was always so tenuous. All you can do is get a ton of prospects & hope Horst (*barf*) hits on multiple 1s. He couldn't miss on Flagg, so let's get #1 for Gianni. God, what an incompetent franchise.

Some posters here are clearly Giannis fans and not bucks fans. It’s weird to want to trade Giannis so he can “get another ring” you won’t get even close to equal value so why make a move he’s not asking for.

We're not a 6th seed without Dame. We basically become Chicago and theirs no draft pick coming to fix that.

Midds for sure. Plus AJJ... good thing we extended Horst.

Worse contract Dame or Beal?

Kuzma has to be up there too.

We were better without him all year. Stretch and waive him, land a worthwhile free agent.

I'm not in the trade him now group, but there are three angles: Giannis, fans, ownership. unfortunately only two of those matter. If I'm ownership I probably trade Giannis and save $100m next year. As a fan, I see what he does in stat padding mode.

What do you think they’d be without Giannis? Back to the lotto without owning their own picks. No one’s trading Flagg for Giannis at this point.

Our offensive and defensive rating without Dame would have got us the 4th seed.

Do we have the ability to sign anyone with Brook and Bobby’s money? Do that, take next year off and then trade Dame as an expiring for someone like Lavine. 26-27 you could take a run.

Or tear it down if Giannis wants to go and trade Dame as an expiring in 26-27 for someone with a few contracts that are serviceable plus 1 mid to late first. Someone would likely still do something like that if they thought it put them in a run.

but without Giannis we are probably the wizards without any rights to our own picks?
