I don't think it will be that hard. I think if the Warriors are willing to offer more than just Curry or take back The Ultimate Teammate I think a deal gets done. If I had to wager I'd say the former is more likely than the latter.

Going to be tough. Only young guys of note are Thompson and Udoh. Bogut would be a heck of a get. But for how much is the question. Going to be quite the negotiation through Thursday

Just passing it along for the Bay Area perspective

The Warriors might get to give it a go with the current unit. According to team sources, the club is embracing the likelihood that a trade -- especially a major splash -- won't happen by Thursday's deadline.

Golden State, as this newspaper reported, was gearing up to make a play for Milwaukee center Andrew Bogut. But that attempt comes with many hurdles. Not only might Bogut (fractured left ankle) be done for the year. But any deal for him might require bringing back Stephen Jackson, who left the Warriors on bad terms in 2009.

Sources dismissed reports Monday that Golden State is considering trading Ellis in a three-team deal involving Orlando and New Orleans. Golden State still isn't willing to part with Ellis for anything on Orlando other than Dwight Howard. And no one on the Hornets, not even former All-Star center Chris Kaman, makes the Warriors willing to part with Ellis, one source said.

Warriors management might look for a smaller deal to give the team an immediate boost. But one team source said Golden State is OK if it doesn't pull off a trade by the deadline. That way, the Warriors can deal in the offseason, this time without the lockout hindrances from last offseason.

I guess you mean Thompson as well? He's pretty much the only other asset they have that interests me at all and I don't think they offer him up with Curry.

Udoh is not a prospect that interests me even slightly and I have to think the Bucks will feel that Sanders can do anything Udoh can.

Does winning help or hurt the likelihood of a Bogut deal?

If Jackson kills this trade I'll be pissed. Especially if we can just do a salary-cutting move like Kwame/Curry/Filler trade that makes amnestying Jackson an easier pill for Kohl to swallow.

Why not deal Jackson separately? You have to think Orlando is desperate enough to bite for one of those proposed deals we have shot around.

If I was guessing I'd say it helps the likelihood of win-now guys, hurts the likelihood of draft picks / future prospects.

Been mentioned several times in the thread that including Jackson will not be a dealbreaker for the Bucks, they'd just like to if they can.

I reckon these 3 wins in a row is creating a chemistry that the brass won't want to mess with.

[crosses arms] NO DEAL!

Woelfel on radio - "All indications that Andrew Bogut is gone"

He also said someone told him this afternoon that it's looking like Jennings could be gone as well. "1 guy insists that Jennings will be gone as well".

-Bucks want players back, good players back at that.

Just wait for the John Hammond interview where he mentions that as a reason.

I still love the idea of trying to go after Eric Gordon with Jennings if we are able to get Curry. I'd love to watch that backcourt.

The rest of our schedule is extremely favorable. I don't see any way we don't make the playoffs. If we don't trade Bogut now and he shines in the playoffs then that will up his value tremendously going into the offseason. However, it will also likely make the Bucks want to hold onto him.

If he does it will be GM speak for 'as if I'm going to tell you the reasons'. Still I'm sure 80% of the board will jump on it as proof that he's a moron lol.

That would be great too. Getting Curry to begin with at least gives us tons of options as far as building the team for the next GM, and at least makes the Bucks exciting to watch in the meantime.

Woelfel:
-"All indications that Andrew Bogut is gone"
-He also said someone told him this afternoon that it's looking like Jennings could be gone as well. "1 guy insists that Jennings will be gone as well"
-Bucks want players back, good players back at that.
-Houston is out of the mix.
-Woelfel does not think Jennings would go for a lottery pick
-What if they got an outstanding big man for Jennings?
-Bogut and Jennings both could be gone by Thursday.
-Skiles would win for now Sparky says -- Secure job wise until end of the season (ha, so not really).
-Sparky going off about how we're just attempting to reshuffle and win with a new pair (he's right, lol)
-Woelfel: "Bucks would have just as good a chance to win title with the players acquired via trade than they will via the draft"
-Woelfel would like players 26 and under

Will update what he says in this post.
