Bourousis who was the best C in Europe this season said that he is open for the NBA. He is 33 but with his shooting looks as great fit for the Bucks. I guess that 2 years for 4 5 mil will do the job

1)Go at https://hola.org/ and download the app for the browser you are using.
2)Click on the flame face thing that will appear on your browser and through there choose the greek flag.
3)Go at http://webtv.ert.gr/ert1/ and watch Giannis. If nothing happens make sure you disable ad-block for the current page.
4)When the game is over remove hola by right clicking it and uninstall.

Cheers.

Be careful with using Hola. It can steal your bandwidth.

It's a friendly. You can't really judge anything from this game.

Exactly. The only teams in the world that take friendlies seriously seem to be USA and maybe Canada. Every other country is simply using it as a practice session. As far as Turkey goes, they are pretty much known as the one European team above all others that puts in no effort to win friendly games.

I think they lost every single friendly they played the same summer they finished 2nd in the World Cup.

They called two travels on Giannis that as far as I know were supposed to be obsolete in FIBA games starting this year. What am I missing?

That only applies to Team USA. Not to any other teams.

I think these rules still apply this year or that the friendlies are played with old rules im not sure.

It applies to Team USA only as of now. It will be extremely stupid if FIBA changes to allow carrying the ball and traveling, like the NBA does. It's the one main thing along with any defense being legal that makes FIBA still in any way relevant. Besides that, FIBA is an absolute joke.

No. Waste of his talents having him defend other than PF or preferably C.

He actually did all of that amusingly. He guarded PG Dickson, Osman PF and Erden for few position but mainly on switches.
The coach literally tested him in different positions on both ends.
The best thing is that we saw Giannis having the ball like he does at the Bucks, coach kept his promise !

http://www.eurohoops.net/trademarks/267808/printezis-welcomes-you-in-the-1st-lg-aegeanball-festival

This is not just a 3X3 tournament. Spanoulis, Zisis, Papaloukas, Jankovic, Pappas, Papanikolaou, Bourousis, Schortsanitis, Kakiouzis and Kalambokis are already announced and many other announcements will follow. We expect also two star players from Turkey.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Printezis can call more star power to form a team than Katsikaris (Greece's NT coach can). Absolutely pathetic.

Just so you know, in USA you are not 33, until you actually turn 33. Your age is not the year minus your birth year in USA.

So Bourousis is 32, not 33, and Spanoulis is 33, not 34, Giannis is 21, not 22, etc.

So you are making these players arbitrarily one year older than they really are (from US point of view) for no reason.

As for Bourousis, he is 32, but he would never fit in a team like the Bucks. He has to play in a team that will devote at least 20 minutes of slow ball, grind it out, half court for him. Just the same as Greek NT always did, and the same as Baskonia did. For some reason, Greeks think Greece played half court because of their guards (Zisis and Spanoulis), which is ridiculous media created nonsense.

They played half court so much because of Bourousis. Zisis and Spanoulis thrived in club teams that played fast (Zisis in Siena and Brose - Spanoulis in Olympiacos). Greece playing slow had absolutely zero to do with them, and everything to do with Bourousis. He would have no place in a team like the Bucks. He needs to be in a team like the Grizzlies (Gasol type role) or Spurs (Marjanovic type role), etc., where the team will play slow to accommodate him.

Katsikaris already said in numerous interviews that Giannis will defend mainly the 3 and 4 positions, with maybe some defending the 2, and probably mainly defending the 4.

He was just experimenting, the same as Turkey's coach was experimenting by playing some of his worst players major minutes. It was a friendly game, and a very early one at that. Nothing from games like that will be recognizable in an actual tournament.

Giannis only 227th in NPI RAPM (single year RAPM) with his defense being a big negative and his offense a slight positive. Usually RAPM is the best evaluator of defensive impact.

Last year he was 204th in NPI RAPM with his defense being a slight positive and his offense a negative.

Multiyear RAPM has him 113th. This time neutral defensively and better offensively.

What are your thoughts on this?
Especially that his defense seems to be not adding up to positive impact, while he has DPOY tools!
