Yeah I was leaning 2060S as I might have mentioned before, but I decided for $80 more I can much better future proof and it's seems that it's a better performance:cost ratio overall.

Thank you gentlemen.

I’m not big on the VR train, but if that plays anything like that trailer that’ll be a helluva killer app to push hardware.

I watched a few minutes of the Giant Bomb quick look and the game looks like it sucks; they said it's as if the game was created in the early 2000s but released this year. I remember loving Shenmue back on Xbox but it's just nostalgia.

This is next-level customer service and why I love what Best Buy has become...

I had my days mixed-up, and $10 worth of rewards I went to use today had expired yesterday. Not the end of the world, but I figured I'd take a shot and call customer service. The robot I talked to knew it was me, prompted me that $10 worth of rewards expired yesterday, and asked if I was calling to get them reissued. I said yes, and I immediately got an email with my new rewards code. Hang up, make purchase.

So Spiderman (GOTY) is what I picked up from BB today (got it for $5 after that rewards cert), and I got a chance to play for about an hour before SNF started. I'm playing on amazing/normal, and so far it's been quite difficult. Maybe I just need some adjustment time, but I died 5-6 times in the open sequence. Is this a hard game? Or do I just need to git gud?

I don't think that it is a hard game overall, but there is probably a combo of adjustment time and low level that is slowing you down. Crowd control and evasion are important, and you will unlock skills that make things easier and more enjoyable as you progress. It's important to learn to dodge as soon as your spider sense glows instead of trying to land a few extra attacks. One thing that helped me early on was the "web blossom" suit ability that comes with the repaired classic suit. If you are stuck in a crowd it will web everyone near you.

That's pretty awesome. Unfortunately my interactions with their customer support have been pretty much disastrous any time I've needed anything from them. Think I'll probably take my business elsewhere now that their gaming club is over; no reason for me to put up with them anymore.

Yep, my GCU expires in February, and consequently, so will my Best Buy business.

I own it digitally and have considered picking it up for the DLC voucher alone. It was a great game.

I’m not far into Jedi Order but I’m finding that game to be harder than it probably should be.

I think over Thanksgiving break or Xmas break I may start witcher 3 finally. Anyone have a difficulty setting they’d recommend for someone new to the series.

I'm in the vast minority but I didn't like Fallen Order. Almost all the items to look for are completely cosmetic. Also wasn't a huge fan of how slowly you earned your abilities, or that the Dark Souls-esque combat always felt kind weightless.

I'm still jaded by the Geek Squad Manager hard selling me on spending $30 for a reboot disk that I was 95% sure was already in the box (and told him so) when I bought a PC there over a decade ago. I didnt spend the money, the disk was in the box and they lost a customer forever.

I know a lot of people are put off by GCU ending and I get it. But I’m surprised to hear of bad customer service. This is only one example for me - I’ve had numerous positive experience with them. And their improved customer service is what they’ve built their comeback on the past several years.

I generally found it more than manageable. That first battle against Kingpin took me several times to get through, and I found myself struggling a bit with taking on a lot of goons at once. But then there's a certain point where it all clicked in for me - I think it was the first major construction site battle where I found myself getting killed over and over - I realized that brute force didn't work. That isn't Spiderman.

Once that clicked for me, I spent more time dodging and swinging and webbing instead of standing and punching, and the combination of skill tree increases, timing dodges and counters, and becoming more adept at using my webs enabled me take on dozens of guys at once without breaking a sweat.

One of my favorite examples of dealing with them:

I ordered Kingdom Hearts for PS4 from them around October or November (or basically whenever the game came out). I had it shipped to my parent's house because that's where we were spending Christmas and the gift was for my girlfriend. We drive back up to New York and I start going through all the boxes to wrap up the gifts and I find that instead of Kingdom Hearts for the PS4, they sent me a Call of Duty for Xbox One game instead. We don't own an Xbox and Kingdom Hearts is basically the only game my girlfriend likes playing (besides some Switch games), so needless to say this wasn't going to work.

I took the game to the local Best Buy location. They told me they can't accept a return there because the game was purchased online. They gave me a customer service number to call and arrange the return that way. So I call the number, they say I should receive a shipping label in my e-mail.

Turns out it was sent to the wrong e-mail address and by the time I figured out that they had sent a shipping label but sent it to the wrong e-mail, the shipping label had expired and the window to return the game had passed.

So I called back again and explained the situation again. They said they couldn't help me anymore; I'd need to try to take it to my local Best Buy and see if they could help (which as I mentioned already, I had already done). At this point I was highly frustrated but the customer service rep wasn't giving in at all, so I begrudgingly went back to the local Best Buy and explained the whole ordeal. They agreed to help, so they looked up the order number and saw that my order was for Kingdom Hearts. They said since I ordered Kingdom Hearts but the game I was returning was Call of Duty, they couldn't help me because I have no proof that I didn't receive Kingdom Hearts and could have stolen Call of Duty.

After all this time had passed, I had to go back home to DC and left the game with my dad in New York. He eventually stopped at a different Best Buy location on his way home from work one day and apparently got into a yelling match with the manager until they finally refunded me. I got my girlfriend her copy of Kingdom Hearts off of Amazon after all that.

Best Buy was great for video games up until recently. They cancelled my pre-order of death stranding on the day before release when I'd had it pre-ordered and paid in full for months and then I had to call customer service just to give me my reward certificate back, I had $120 in rewards for buying a laptop earlier in the year. Was on the phone for an hour with customer service and they really didn't understand the problem I don't know if it's because they're in India or what but it was really really bad. GCU was great but now that its gone and they have shown themselves to be unreliable I'll probably turn somewhere else most likely Amazon. What a shame

I've had both great and bad experiences at Best Buy, but I'd say it's been mostly positive.

Finished the first gym in Pokemon and my thoughts are this. It's WAY too easy. I will never lose. All Pokemon in your bag gain XP, characters heal you all the time, they give you tons of items and it's just too easy. The "Rival" named Hop, is the most annoying SOB in the world. The cut-scenes are way too long and too many. Fun game as I love Pokemon, but could've been 100x better.
