Contest/professional dunkers practice dunking and nothing else. Most of these guys practice enough to still be in the NBA.

Obviously. And yet still you have randoms with fractional talent compared to nba guys who do stuff leagues beyond what any nba player can do. The contest either should be retired or bring in amateurs that force nba guys to step it up or be clowned.

In that case they will just be clowned then.

They just don't care enough to beat someone who works at Burger King and can worry only about dunking vs them worrying about their role on d or how they will have to score enough to earn their next million dollar contract.

If they really wanted to, they would absolutely blow these amatures out of the water, but they have bigger goals in basketball.

Gordon 100% got robbed but if I'm D Wade and I'm not seeing an end to this? I'm going with the guy I played and bonded with too. I hope I have people in my life to look out for me like that.

I thought Pat got hosed, then I thought AG really got hosed.

Pretty much this. And Dwade is partially responsible for it.

The contest needs an overhaul on bad and bias judges and/or tweaking the points format.

Just have the fans vote through the NBA app so they can only vote once.

I like this thinking.

8 paricipants ranked 1-8. 1 vs 8, 2 vs 7 etc. All voted online for who had the better dunk.

Its a shame the narrative is that Gordon got robbed because D Jones put on a show and absolutely deserved a win.

Except Gordon's show was much much better.

They need to get rid of Kenny and Reggie. Push them off a cliff or something.

He was great, but disagree that he was much much better than Jones

Bud Selig wishes those two were broadcasting the 2002 MLB all star game. They couldn’t stop falling all over themselves to have the contest called off and declared a tie. I didn’t get that.

I thought Gordon’s first dunk was really pedestrian, and wonder if Pat makes the finals, had that one been judged more accurately.

Just watched the dunk contest. Salute to Pat - he was better than I expected. Those dunks were incredible. I gave him the same score he got from the judges: 9 and 10. He just ran into two incredible dunkers who also deserved to go to the final round.

Aaron Gordon should have won. But Derrick Jones Jr was incredible in his own right. That was an amazing dunk contest.

That three point contest was good, too.

Those were very impressive dunks by Pat. The Gordon dunk is one of the best I've ever seen in the dunk contest.

Are people actually impressed by Buddy Hield? Literally you got amateurs who would hit 36 out of 35 3 pointers with ease including if you moved the Mountain Dew (c) shot back to 35 FEET. Would rather watch Jason Milinski shame nba players than the fkin plebes in the highest league in the entire SOLAR SYSTEM who are LAUDED for hitting at a rate barely in the neighborhood of FIFTY percent except for George Hill please bring some of that marksmanship when the playoffs roll around my guy.
