I'd love to get Harry Giles on a cheap portion of the MLE 3 or 4 deal and see what this coaching staff can do to mold him into a mobile stretch 5. The Kings declining his option looks even dumber than it did last summer.

Feel horrible for Isaac. Dude was legitimately turning in an All-Defense team campaign this season before the other injuries.

at least the idiot-gallery can't blame it on extra stress from kneeling.

The social media response about his knee injury disgusts me. I knew people sucked, but saying he "deserved" it for not taking a knee had me fuming. I actually deleted most of my social media accounts last night.

Re: ATL - Season Resumes page 87
I wish I had had a full ACL tear the first time I had a severe sprain... it would have saved me a ton of rehab tango as I tweaked it over and over again before finally completely tearing it with a bad meniscus injury on top of it. I feel like Isaac will have a great opportunity now to really rebuild and come back stronger.
Also as an aside, that hopstep with a big lateral load is an absolute knee killer if you aren't strong in the right places. Have seen too many knees buckle on almost that exact move.

Did that a few months ago and it's probably the best thing i've ever done. Issac news is just horrible, feel terrible for the guy.

Maybe if his name was Denise instead of Dennis.

It just especially sucks when it happens to guys as young as him because it can be such a derailing setback. The first 3-4 years of these 19-20 year olds' careers are so important from a development perspective, where this could be a career altering injury. The 3PT shot was coming along with the elite defense, and he was looking like a legit franchise player. Now you have to put all that stuff on hold and figure out where you go as a franchise. Magic fans deserved something to feel hopeful about.

I agree with everything you said, but I'll add that the Magic's season was most likely going to be over after a quick first round playoff exit. And there probably won't be a "next season" until summer 2021 at the earliest. So you could also make the case that an ACL can heal in a year, and he isn't missing much game time, due to the fluke of covid. Of course the lost development year is harsh, but he is still young and not missing much game time. He'll be up on his feet again in a few months and able to work on his shot.
I just think the kid has shown enough development where its reasonable to assume that he will come out of this healthy and with the arrow still pointing up. Could he be a Jonathan Bender (skilled 7 footer whose knees gave out)? Sure. But I think his game is super special and he will still reach his sizable potential.

I mean the problem with him is that he needs a new contract after next season. Could be that he doesn't play another game before you have to hand him a fat check or let him go.

What happens when the ultimate offensive flopper (Lowry) is defended by the ultimate defensive flopper (Smart)? Does the universe implode?

I can’t even handle a joke about that. Hopefully no significant eastern conference players had any kids.

Re: ATL - Season Resumes page 87
I really hate how other teams complain so ****ing much but it honestly works. Look at TOR, BOS, LAL, etc. and they non-stop complain, and it works for them. I don't want the Bucks to do it but I kind of do.
Edit: MIA just collapsed late with 2 horrible offensive possessions with a chance to take the lead or tie.

Re: ATL - Season Resumes page 87
I have nothing bad to say about Zion the player and seemingly person. But watching his games are difficult since he's basically all they talk about the whole time. Media just needs to give him some space. Feel like he already gets a better whistle than Giannis as well.
Raps aren't going to be an easy out by any means. More this goes the more I think I'd pick them as last team to get in the East.

Zion really needs to figure out his conditioning. He looks all of 290 right now.

Also, Jaren Jackson seems he's going to be really good. But, he sure does have a weird shooting stroke. Kind of surprising he's getting such good results on it. Possible he might never be able to speed it up (similar to Brogdon) but at his size that's probably not a big deal. He accomplishes the floor spacing with it.

He hit 9 threes against the Bucks. There is nothing wrong with his stroke given that he's 6'11".
