Ticketmaster fees should be a crime.
I was going to get 4 tickets to the Bayern / Manchester City match at Lambeau and there was almost $90 in fees.

Why should you go to jail for a crime someone else noticed? You don't need double talk... You need Bob Loblaw.

I am perplexed how a low fee business model hasn't put them out of business yet or at least gained significant market penetration. Maybe Ticketmaster just squashes them early... Or probably all the sports owners are in bed with Ticketmaster or something.

I'm sure teams/leagues get a nice kickback on fees. StubHub and other resellers have large fees as well. TickPick has no fees but it just means the fees are baked into the price. TickPick is usually a little cheaper though but they have a lower amount of tix.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I know playoff hockey is supposed to be amazing. I also know I'm supposed to like hockey, being from Wisconsin.
But I don't. I don't like hockey (unless I'm there, which is fine). I'll watch the Badgers when they get to the Frozen Four - men or women - and that's enough for me. So tonight...there's nothing on

Agreed. Live hockey is fun. TV hockey isn't

TV hockey is fun. It's just that the games have been **** so far except for game 1 of Penguins/Rangers and maybe game 1 of Kings/Oilers. That game was on late and I'm an old man that has to wake up at 6:30 so I didn't stay up to watch it.

TV hockey sucks. It's almost as bad as golf.
Live hockey is pretty damn good though

So when do you get to wonder about Phil Michelson taking dives given his reported gambling issues?

Maybe this was mentioned already, but it looks like Bally Sports is going to offer a stand alone service for sports through the app. Sounds like a good idea, but isn't their app atrocious already?

It's been talked about in the cutting the cord thread. I have Spectrum so I rarely stream but when I do I use the Spectrum app and it's fine for Bally's. But that's an entirely different thing. Everyone on here who's used Bally's app says it sucks.

Illegal streaming has come so far in the past decade, I don't see myself every paying for it unless they crack down hard on it.
Inadequate perception I reckon it's from the Valium

Carlos Alcaraz just beat Nadal and Djokovic back-to-back on clay. Now, the circumstances aren't the cleanest (Djokovic's well documented travel/vaccine/not playing issues, and Nadal just back from injury, and both are out of their prime by this point), but that's notable regardless. He just turned 19.

I'm going to be in Charleston SC this coming week, anyone got any good sportsbar or nice restaurants recommendations? I know of Husk and will be going there, as well as a highly rated seafood place who's name escapes me ATM. Would be cool to catch a few Bucks playoff games at a nice bar.

Sean Brock is one of the best chefs in the country. I'd be trying to eat at his spots.

Yup! Oyster House is the seafood place I'm going, as well as Husk.

Re: OT: General OT Thread [NO POLITICS, RACE OR RELIGION]
If everyone was like me physical shops would probably not exist anymore. I hate shopping and especially shopping centres, and I haven't bought anything for myself in years that I didn't order online, even things that you're supposed to try first, like my bicycle or my clothes. Even groceries, when it's my turn I just order online.
Yesterday was the only one day of the year that I actually go to the shops, because a) I don't actually want to buy anything but I must buy something, and b) I have no idea what it is and I need someone to tell me.
Happy mother's day gents.
