Re: OT: TV and Movies
Started watching Black Bird last night. I hope the writing improves. Paul Walter Hauser is awesome as usual.
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.
Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

I enjoyed this a lot
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

The Gray Man
The Russo Bros can direct action. Some really cool action cinematography in this one. But good god, Joe, let someone else write the script next time.

Thanks to my father and older brother I grew up on a steady diet of science fiction, with Star Trek being neck and neck with Dr Who for the position of my childhood fave. Nichelle Nichols was my first boyhood infatuation with a distant star- as Nyota Uhura she had grace, intelligence, courage under pressure, was obviously beautiful but also delivered a performance that truly conveyed an air of absolute skill and competence in her tasks.

GREAT show. His calm anger facial expressions are amazing, can just feel the rage. Then it's great when it overflows and he goes nuts.
Poor video quality, but my favorite scene in the series.
Also, i so much agree with Ray's beliefs here.

I watched Woman in Motion last night for free on Peacock, a documentary about her life that came out a couple of years ago. Had no idea she was going to quit after the first season til MLK told her not to and said it was the only show he let his kids watch. Didn't know she recruited 3 out of the 7 astronauts on the Challenger shuttle. Incredible woman. Incredible life.

It falls apart half way through. Seems like they said we have a ton of money, let's make the most ridiculous action set pieces we can. They need to keep their mediocre originals around an hour and a half. Its hard to watch something for over 2 hours knowing it's probably not gonna be great.

I always assumed Riverdale was a show similar to Pretty Little Liars.

A week into getting back into Better Call Saul. So season four was laughably bad.

I mean, if you actually think this, just stop watching, it's not going to get any better.
Season 4 was fantastic in my opinion. Like, really, really good.
