The new build is finally done. It was the motherboard after all. Ended up going with a little bit better one as the replacement of the old wouldn't have been here till February. Still want to do some cable management and lower the hoses a bit, but damn she's a beauty.

Just bought CB2077 too, can't wait to test it on the 3080.

Told my wife my 6 yo son needed an Xbox, PS and Oculus this year. Can’t believe she went for it. Anyone have suggestions on the Quest 2?

One employee asked the board why it had said in January that the game was “complete and playable” when that wasn’t true, to which the board answered that it would take responsibility. Another developer asked whether CD Projekt’s directors felt it was hypocritical to make a game about corporate exploitation while expecting that their employees work overtime. The response was vague and noncommital.

Many industry observers have wondered why Cyberpunk 2077, which was first announced in 2012 and was delayed three times in 2020, still appears to be unfinished. Several current and former staff who worked on Cyberpunk 2077 have all said the same thing: The game’s deadlines, set by the board of directors, were always unrealistic. It was clear to many of the developers that they needed more time.

CD Projekt stock tumbled as much as 22% to a nine-month low on Friday.
The "Cyberpunk 2077" developer shed up to $1.8 billion in market capitalization after Sony said it would pull the buggy game from its PlayStation store and provide refunds to players.

Having worked in software for the last 20 years or so, this is completely unsurprising.

Deadline gets set by people who have no idea what the work entails. No feedback from those doing the work. Get it done. Duh.

What kind of games do they like? Raccoon Lagoon would probably be a good one for your son. It's like Animal Crossing VR. Superhot VR is a great shooter but not really violent at all if you've never seen it. Echo Arena is free to play and also very fun. Everybody likes Beat Saber as well.

He plays ghost giant and job simulator where he basically throws coffee around a cubicle. I’ll check out raccoon lagoon. The Star Wars games are pretty cool.

Finished Cyberpunk tonight. God, I really loved it. I made sure to get the "good" ending and it was pretty great.

There's so much stuff I didn't do. I didn't go after or buy a single ride. I ended my playthrough with the car I started with and a pair of bikes I got as part of the story. I didn't craft a single weapon. I ended up have excess points and perks, and to be honest I never really paid attention to my build all that much. I liked to keep a surplus of both around and apply them when needed. I think I used fast-travel twice the entire game because moving about the city was so nice.

I am absolutely going back to right before the point of no return in the story next, and completing side stuff I didn't touch. Some of the other endings sound pretty insane. Find and craft some legendary gear. Find some great rides. I am no where near sick of this game.

This is awesome to hear. I started this morning on the new build and it runs on nearly ultra settings above 60 FPS. Actually closer to 75-80, although I'm expecting that to drop in heavy combat areas and the city.

Is anyone familiar with the whole Panini Prizm Sports card craze right now? My brother is a big collector, and my kids are getting into it as well because they have gone through my old collection(which is mostly worth nothing now). Come to find, there is like a borderline organized crime element to this craze. I stopped into Meijer the other day to look if they had any, there were 20 grown men in a toy isle waiting for the stocker dude to put the boxes of cards out.

I come to find out, they are basically impossible to get without having inside knowledge from an employee or stocker.

Have no clue but I've noticed opening Pokémon cards is a big thing again. Famous streamers are buying 10K-150K box sets. Crazy **** man...

Yeah so here is the jist of what I've found out on the sports cards.

You buy a $50 box of Panin prizm football or NBA Hoops. You can immediately flip it for 3 to 4 times online. It kind of sucks for the actual collector.

I was just going to hold off on getting any next gen system since I could never get through online but just happened to see an Xbox series X bundle on Gamestop's site and was able to order one. Would've preferred a PS5 but I know I'll get them both eventually anyway so I guess the order doesn't matter much.

My wife came over to show me a NYT notification on her phone saying, “hey look, it’s the game you’re playing.” Looks like this clusterf*ck went mainstream.

I don't know much about Hood: Outlaws & Legends but the soundtrack is pretty great.

Yep my partner did the same exact thing. “Isn’t that game you’ve been playing Cyberpunk? I was just reading about how much of a catastrophe it is.”

I didn't get Stadia due to the pretty awful initial reviews, but seeing something like that has me considering doing it. With a new baby I can't always get downstairs to my office to game, this could be a game changer. That was super cool.

I got Stadia (the chromecast ultra and controller) and Baldur's Gate 3 for basically free, I'm a fan.
